Tamiya Falcon, restoration over a few years from about 2005 onwards. Slow project, for fun. THe Falcon was the first ever R/C car I owned as a boy in the mid to late 80's.

I purchased this off Ebay for $160 and it came with a load of NIB parts.

This has to be one of the rarest NIB kits around even tho its a mid 90's car.. and its still NIB on my shelf.

My Super Hornet so far. I've put new rear tires on it, a faster motor, a better battery, ball bearings in the diff and front wheels, shocky spacers front and back and high tech rubber band suspension on the back :p. Don't know what's next maybe a brushless and a ESC or a batman logo on it. I got a better battery ready to go but the charger I got for it is faulty and I haven't had a chance to get it changed over yet. :(

My Dad managed to score a Tamiya Boomerang and Hornet off a workmate of ours.

Both we're pretty rooted but slowly he's been getting parts and restoring the old school buggies.

They're still a WIP but here's a couple of pics.

The Hornet

The Boomerang
http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/1695/img7985n.jpg (http://img23.imageshack.us/i/img7985n.jpg/)

There's some parts we got today that weren't fitted in that pic. I'll keep you guys updated.

Btw it's me first post on TA. Got referred to here by Richo from Perth RC Models & Hobbies. Glad to be in the company of experienced veterans :)

that looks more like a Super Hornet (aka Grasshopper II)

Boomerang & original Hornet parts are easy to get today as they've been re-released,
easier than finding SuperHornet bits which haven't been re-re'd

My in-laws flew in from Japan last night and brought me a special package for a project I'm working on .. Mint conition with only a few scratches on some of the plastic parts, pretty mint box as well not even yellowed with age :D
