They advertise it as "Waterproof electronics" wonder if that includes the BL motor, that'd be a first.

Did you read the manual or just see the bit where it says Waterproof Electronics and assumed it meant the whole vehicle?

From the manual for the 1/16 EP Slayer VXL (Slash) and E-Revo VXL

Motor Precautions
Motor life can be greatly reduced in mud and water. If the motor
get excessively wet or submerged, use very light throttle (run the
motor slowly) until the excess water can run out. Applying full
throttle to a motor full of water can cause rapid motor failure. Your
driving habits will determine motor life with wet motor. Do not
submerge the motor under water.

From the manual for the 1/10 Slash:

Motor Precautions
• Titan motor life can be greatly reduced in mud and water. If the motor gets excessively wet or submerged, use very light throttle (run the motor slowly) until the excess water can run out. Applying full throttle to a motor full of water can cause rapid motor failure. Your driving habits will determine motor life with a wet motor. Do not submerge the motor under water.

From the manual for the E-Revo:

Motor Precautions
Titan motor life can be greatly reduced in mud and water. If the
motors get excessively wet or submerged, use very light throttle (run
the motors slowly) until the excess water can run out. Applying full
throttle to a motor full of water can cause rapid motor failure. Your
driving habits will determine motor life with wet motors. Do not
submerge the motors under water.

From the manual for the Brushless E-Revo

Brushless Addendum

The Power System is NOT WATERPROOF. Do not expose the power system to any type of water, condensation, or moisture.

Mine's on backorder from 'the Main'.
I've been thinking I dont really know why even, but it's going to be one of those, just have to have rigs.....
Not too keen on the bubby Revo though!
It'll be fun running it on club nights, if I'm allowed.

Some REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD NEWS!!! NOT <--- Note the use of upper case letters, I think there is some sarcasm involved.

I have it on really good authority that the 1/16 Revo and Slash will be released in Australia in the next 2 months. This is not because of a error made by the Australian Supplier.

My question is; will it be worth any hobby shop in Australia to even bother getting these truck by this time?

lol I have had the Mini Slash for a good few months

and I just converted it to the Mini Revo

The Slash handles horribly, too much power through too thin tyres.

If you're even considering one of these, the Revo is by FAR the best option.
