The ones I build with 16 gauge wire I charge at 1.5amps and discharge at 3amps
The one you got with pissy wires - 1amp charge max, 3amp discharge max

I charged my losi "sport" pack at 4A once. haha man it charged FAST! hahaha damn.
That was the pack / charge that destroyed my stock losi motor. I plugged it all in, put it down, burned around on rypers indoor track, then MELT ! (it was quick however!)

Hmm I have been charging mini packs at 2amps, sometimes 3amps when I forget to set the charge rate. I also use my LRP micro charger to charge my packs. Not sure if thats a good thing, although my packs seem to be holding up well. Gonna order me some GP1100($21USD) cells I think, or KAN1050($13USD), depending on how much I want to spend.

so lemme get this straight. my cheapo ansmann mains charger that isnt adjustable and only does 3A isnt gonna be any good for charging the little batts for a mini-t? damn...proper charger like duratrax ice is gonna set me back more than the whole mini-t.... :( any cheaper options folks?

cray, correct, 3A is too much for those cells. 1A is more ideal.

I got a sun-ji chargetronic for 111bux from RMS. charges nimh/nicd, 1-8 cells, up to 3A via AC (up to 5A with DC), 10 memories for diff batts. Too complicated for me :P

ryper sorted me out with a duratrax intellipeak mini pulse charger. which ill offload at a later date and grab a supernova or ice. but this thing should do the job for now...does 0.5A to 4.5A which a bunch of other crap i have no idea about yet. just gotta get that psu sorted now.

got it together with the mini-t, oil shocks and oil. so they did me a decent price. though i just checked rms today and they had the mini-t for 154.95$ now. ryper said they will beat any price. which they did. beat 179$ and made it 170$ but oh well. im still happy with my purchase. guys at ryper r great.
