i thought seeing as i am at the track every week with Celeste i might as well have a go at this racing thing
was going to get another XXXT so we could have a heap of spares but then i talked Garth from Sik hobbies into selling me his slash
its got the new epic rims and proline switch rubber ,when i got it there was a 1/8 3046kv brushless hobby wing motor with a novatech speedy
being new to running on a track this motor has way to much torque for me coming out of corners so i just changed it to a Traxxas VXL seem much smoother
also got a proline body for it looks much bettera than a standard one

will be keeping the old motor thinking about getting another one have one for racing and one with the big motor running 3s for bashing

Looks very nice, how does the Novatech speedy hold up? The VXL motor would only draw what, 40-50 amps on 2s?

Anyway look forward to overtaking that one on one of the Slash racing nights :)

bit of an update i now have 2 slashes and a sc10 1 the race slash is getting a new motor after a bearing died and munched the inside of the motor have also added STRC front bash plate and F&R STRC shock towers
just finished the new body looks ok

Looks sweet, what shock set up are you getting it to sit so nice n low?

nex i have intergy remote canister shocks off a TMAXX on it with stampede front springs i also made new holes in the front arms to move the shocks out another 5mm
not sure what spring are on the back got them out of the big box of springs i have
i moved the bottom of shocks to widest point on the arms still needs a bit more tuning found it a bit to bouncy last weekend
