How are you all .

Just been to the local hobby shop and they have just reduced the XRays M18 down to $150 ( car chassis and body only obviously ) .

Whats the opinions on them , they look quiet outstanding to me and im seriously considering buying 1 and pulling apart 1 of my mini rs and throwing the gear into ( ive got heaps of micro servos to throw into it as well ) .

In saying all this , is anyone interested in parting with 1 .

Thanx .

Adam .

I think I'm still the only guy here with an M18 :(

150bux is ridiculous. Get one just for the hell of it.

Ok seriously, it's probably the best micro onroad car you can get. I prefer it over my old HPI Micro. You realise you need to run it on decently smooth surfaces right? I'd suggest getting the softest tyres you can get a hold of cos if you put a decent motor in, it will spin out a lot if you don't control your throttle. I've got the hang of mine, so it's less of a deal. You also need hpi micro wheels cos the once the xray wheels go on, they never come off.

It doesn't come with a motor, so you'll need to get one. I'd recommend getting a big block motor mount so you can run a Beast Raptor.

You can only fit 5 cells side by side or 6 in a stick pack. I got the Motek Panther chassis so I can fit 6 side by side, or 7 in a stick pack.

It's a nice change from the mini-t.

Im gonna get me 1 mid next week then , sounds very good .

There shouldnt be any issues with throwing in a Li-po should there ?, as far as i can see , there is plenty of room for a 7.4V battery to fit .

Thanx Justo and if you have any pix mate , id love to check them . Im at : sales@rctoyland.com

Thanx buddy .

I think I have a thread with pics in it. Cant remember if its in members rides or 1/18 forums....

You can fit lipos in there for sure. Dunno if you want to though. 7cellGPs + beast is already a bit too fast for it :P You'll want a lowered spring set if you want to put more power, and a *very* flat surface with good grip.
