Hey Guys,
Managed to get my hands on an aussie release of the Traxxas Blast RC boat.
Anyway can anyone tell me what turn motor the Traxxas Nautica speed control can handle, it comes stock with a 20turn but i've got a 12double and 14 double sittin in the shed goin dusty.
Any ideas??

The spec's say "Mild Modified Motor Limit" so I think a 12 or 14 turn motor might be a little over the top for a light weight boat like this. Given that the XL-5 is a much better ESC and its only good for a 15T 540 size cans I wouldn't push it with the stock ESC.
I'd like to see how far you'd get with a 12 or 14 turn motor on the stock prop with a boat that barely weighs a kilo though, could be interesting.

It would probably get out to the middle of the lake before there was a melt down. :D
Maybe I should leave the 12 and 14 turns in the shed and go get me a mod 18or 19 turn.
Or I could drop my NoLimit ESC in with a 15 or 16 and hope for the best.
Or I could leave it stock.................mehh!!
But seriously this is my first boat, been into cars for years and wanted a change of scenery, any advice is appreciated.

Found the specs on the net
The Traxxas Nautica ESC is rated at 18+ turns.

Ok, dropped an Integy 17 turn triple in the Blast and built a custom water cooled setup for the stock ESC and motor.
Ran it on a 7.4v 5000mah Lipo on Saturday, this thing is mental now, Does 360's like the full size jet boats.
No exessive heat in the motor or ESC and it was run with a STOCK prop.
