OK so now Kwinana is getting up and running with onroad, i guess i should scrap the idea of getting a glider and get an onroader instead.
I'm not that interested in an uber-competitive model (ie Xray), just something for fun, even a Cyclone S maybe. I must admit to liking the look of the Associated 1/10th pan car the RC10R5, but what class would that run in? What about 1/12th, many people running them? What cars are people running in the F1 class?
Any other suggestions?

The cheap touring cars are really not working having, as you have to spend some much $$ on the hop ups, it ends up costing you more than what you would have payed for a decent one in the first place, There is that many touring cars out there , find one with good local parts back up is the key ..
there a few of us with 1/12 I don't we will be able to get them all in the same place at the same time to make a class out of it , and they are bit weak compared to a TC
I think you will in a class of your own with 1/10 pan car, I cant see why I cant run with in the TC class, bearing in mind it will require a different driving style, and maybe the overall laps time will be the same , but it will have different speeds in different parts of the track , ( that what I found running my pan car against the tc)
there are only really two makes in F1 Tamaiya and the corally ( big $$$)
this car would not be an enjoyable experience for you, ( 2wd and no downforce)
but they are cheap and was the favour of the month ..

Honestly i'm not all that fussed about competitiveness, thats not why i race. But durability is a factor! Maybe i'll just go a tc5, or a cyclone.
