next race day

hay all just wanna know if carine is going to hold a race day soon would love to race there again and a few other people i have spoken to would love it to.

Will try to run a event or 2 after the WC interclub over the winter period when all is quiet at west coast. Will post up when have a firm date.

Awesome can't wait west coast bit of a mission when you live far north and have constant severe back pain. P.S i read up on all the rules so no chinese work boots this time ay. Want to join up at carine but bit of bummer there is no longer access 4 members to trak for much needed practice between rounds as like i said west coast too hard for me at moment.

Meeting to be held at Carine Sunday 21 June (Sunday week).

We will use the Alycat online entries system for the first time. Its a small program (Online Entries for Drivers) you download from http://www.alycat.com/AlycatRC/WebSite/Download.html

We'll use this system from now on so try to get used to it. If you're having issues or email carinerc@iinet.net.au. You'll see that we have a limited number of classes listed based on previous experience. Classes we plan on running are:

1. Truck Mod/Stock (either or combined depending on entries)
2. 4WD mod
3. CORR Trucks
4. MT/Truggy
5. 1/8 Buggy (First time for this one!)
6. Novice (again if get numbers)

We plan on running 6 x 6 minute races dropping your worst 2 rounds (ie no qualies/finals).

Gates will open 8am, racing by 9.30am. Sausage sizzle and drinks available. Power available. Bring shelter/table if needed.

Paul I've nominated for 1/8th buggy, but there's still a bit of work to go before it's ready to race, so it could be hit or miss. I'll be trying out the old 1700kv 1515 on 3s. Won't be that fast, but that's probably the best way to get used to a new car.

How are the numbers looking for Sunday? If you go to that online entry program (really easy to use, we should be using it at West Coast) and click on List Of Entries, it will tell you who has nominated and for which class. Only 13 cars entered as of now, so need some more people. No one has nominated for the novice class yet.

With the weather looking suspect for Sunday please keep an eye out on TA for updates on the events future.

To be realistic it would need to stop raining Saturday afternoon onwards for the track to be able to cope with racing on Sunday. Therefore showers over Saturday night would see the event postponed to the following Sunday.

Had a track inspection this afternoon and it was fine other than a couple of small damp patches - picked up some old carpet today we can throw down if needed. The track handles rain really well so providing it doesn't bucket down in the morning I would say there's a good chance it will be a goer.

So the final verdict is......I'll be opening up the track regardless tomorrow morning so come on down! I'll probably not get there till 9am to give it a chance to drain a bit if it's rained overnight plus I haven't packed up the car yet. And if the track looked like it did today you'll have a ball.
