is there any cracking in the diff housing the idler gear maybe separating the slightest bit as you give your car acceleration which is causing it to strip are the other gears dirty?

i got a hole new gear box the other day but i havent been able to test it because when i went to west coast model club a little kid smashed into the back of my car and totald the rear end

perhaps use the idler gear from the Nitro evader which fits right in and is metal. Often in the Evaders gear issues are a result of the motor mount plate being warped, perhaps upgrade to the thicker alloy heatsink plate.

It sounds like your slipper clutch is to tight.
