to give some background info, i paid $160 for my car which came with nothing (no remote, no batterys, just a rolling shell). it had bushes, fixed length arms (no turnbuckles). a real basic setup.

a bloke @ the track offered to sell me his kyosho ultima for $200. its fully ball raced, has turnbuckles and all the mods available for the ultima. has radio gear. has a spare chassis-tub.

his words were "ian broke his shock tower today and he's out of the days racing, but having a second car means youd have any part you need and you can keep going".

thats a pretty valid reason to buy this car huh? also for the fact it has all the hop-up options available.

what do you reckon?

do i have $200? hahah NO. haha. i'll work that out.

You'll find you will need new parts for your car eventually anyway. This way you have them available straight away. Beats waiting 1-2 weeks for the LHS to get parts in. Probably a lot cheaper too.

hah, pistol controllers are for lazy people. i use sticks because i like challenge of having no control of the car when its sliding all over the joint.... umm...

hmmm...

i spent some time tonight transfering bits and peices over from the second hand buggy to my new one. my new/current car which was once a very stock car now has some very nice bits on her... the front end is fully setup with turnbuckles (the stock setup has plastic rods which have zero adjustment). she's fully ballraced from my saturday project of completely ballracing it, she hammers with the new motor.

oh i LOVE this stuff !!!!!
