My missus sent me this link. Basically you gotta open an Internet only bank account (via that link) with ING Direct. You HAVE to do it by 11pm tonight (10th may). I'm not sure if that's EST, but just assume that it is to be safe.

The account pays over 5% interest, has NO fees EVER, AND you get a FREE $123 to get you started.

Basically, go through the link process. You'll need your tax file number, and the bsb & acc# of a current bank account in your name. Print off the resulting form, sign it and send it.

Yeah, my bro kept timing out trying to do it. I didn't have a problem though....I don't think it's the first time they've done it either. A friend said he was gonna do it when they were offering $20 but didn't for some reason. Good for him cos now he gets $123!

i dont know guys , i havnt checked it out properly but nothings for nothing . There has to be a catch or there has to be someone rubbing his hands on the other side thinking " suckers " . Fair enough if it was something completely useless and a scam.....then yes, I'd say that would be spam. But this was just a chance for people here to sign up for an additional bank account (you never have to touch it again if you don't want to), and get a free, significant sum of money.

I thought people would appreciate it.

I suppose if I titled the post something like "What do you think about this bank account deal? Opinions?", then that wouldn't be spam?
