ah some air movement there at last.
I'll make a suggestion, You might not like it -
Cut out the front window and the rear indent infront of the rear body pin post.
It will remove all the hot air rising into the top of the body canopy.
Is there anywhere for the air to escape from those in-ports you opened?

Awesome!
A good mate of mine has a Paasch air brush and I give him my shells to practise on...he has air brushed about 5 or 6 of my shells and he is getting better and better.
I'll wait til I get my Chev Silverado Mini-T shell back, and I'll post it up here to see what you guys think. I dont know how much he charges (all my shells were done free, as practise), but I'm sure he'll be very competitive ;)

A few of mine, all painted by me.
The NTC3 Dodge Stratus. Metallic Red with black GT stripes, and carbon fibre flames.
http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/paint/Image5.jpg
A T4 body done in anodized green, red, chrome, and colourchange purple/red. Though the pic doesn't show the colour change. This is for sale btw: $65
http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/paint/Image1.jpg
My current T4 racing body, slightly used, and dusty. http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/paint/Image2.jpg
My New RC18T body, in spazstix chrome, not silver, the photo doesn't do it justice. http://members.iinet.net.au/~canison/paint/Image3.JPG
A CAT racing T4 body I just painted for a member at WCMRC. Of course this isn't trimmed yet.

Hey Maxd Out, can you send me Jon's phone number? He was meant to be looking into a compressor for me. Mine tends to pulse rather than provide a constant air pressure.

the dishwashing detergent technique reminded me of something i saw on cruizin many yrs ago. they went to a scale model car show at cannington and this one guy had an awesome collection of custom hotrods. 1:24 scale. they then went on to do a demo ...so if i remeber correctly:
submerge the body in a tub of water. possibly need some type of weights and a wire rig or something to pull it back up and out. then spray the paint onto the water. it should sit on top in a thin film. u can spray diff colors and let em run together or do fades and whatnot. then slowly pull the body out and voila!
there may have been more to this technique but like i sed...was many yrs ago. im sure there r details about it somewhere on the web for those with mad l33t googling skillz0r. and lexcen body may be harder to do coz u paint inside and it would act like a bucket pulling up water with u. ok enough rambling. just thought someone might like to try it.
KingBob

You'd need holes in the body, body mounts/aerial etc first so the water could drain out. And you couldn't paint a whole body that way, it wouldn't cover the sides properly. Would maybe work for just individual details, lines/splatters etc. Personally i think it sounds risky and wouldn't try it

worked a treat on plastic models. coz the paint becomes like a film...as u pull up...the roof takes the paint and pulls in more from the sides that kinda droops down. think of it like putting a boidy under glad wrap and pulling up....but i can see how this would be a problem for an inverted rc shell....oh well. still an intresting idea.

haha, knowing maxd out, if he had a body like that, he'd go buy an inferno to use it on!
I think there are 2 infernos at perth hobby centre, the 777, and the kanai edition. Go buy one then get Mike to paint it up!
