On the plus side, it looks like its have heaps of suspension travel, what with the chassis being so high, should soak up huge jumps!
Downside, with such a high and narrow chassis, it'll have a high centre of gravity, and probably prone to rolling. Unless that big suspension travel is soft enough to soak up the roll.

this point someone made is rather interesting
the Strike has a rather high center of gravity, the chassis is quite narrow, this should help eleviate the excessive body roll and stop it from tiping over so easily and be a bit more stable than the slash but not too stable to make it appear as a racer only

look how low that motor is sitting, its roughly the same height as the sc10 that used the t4 design. if it went that low at the rear of the truck it was get smashed senseless. bringing it forward they have dropped it so the car balance should be a lot better, with the benefit of more ground clearance than that sc10 and a protected motor ,besides a battery packs its going to be the heaviest thing in the car so the cog isn't going to as high as a slash.
the arms are also not level and thats the standard height, so you have alot of room to drop the height and i dare say a heap or travel to absorb the jumps if you wish.
going to be interesting to see 3 different designs all in the same class.

Yes, but i also said: "Unless that big suspension travel is soft enough to soak up the roll"
yeahh, we know that you know everything KB
ahahahahaha. While the chassis looks like its sitting high the diff sits a lot lower. I like it.

i just showed my cook she said no i dont need to try one
The biggest problem the Corrs have is being too taily. Losi looks like they might have made that worse by transferring the weight further forward.
I think traction wise it'll be a disaster...

Almost all the corr trucks i have seen seem to follow the seppo blue groove approach of a very stiff setup that just doesn't work here, no traction? i wonder why. I reckon the losi looks very good and should be more than a match for it's opponents.
All you need is a radio and new electrics and you're ready to go!

ive got brushless sitting here to put in the losi
fantom 17.5 brushless
just waiting on stock to arrive

i need a new 17.5 =/
Yeah but selling it without a radio will put some people off.... then again, the Losi one isn't too bad. Not much adjustment but ok, so the RTR could be fine.

Oreilly Model Products have listed a price and avail on the RTR version.
August is the ETA, so we could see it before the US and price will be $343.
Will update if we will get the BND version here.

not sure if anyone's posted/seen it but a review on the losi strike

I think it looks good:
*CVD's not cheap and nasty dogbones
*Reasonable tough looking turnbuckles/ball ends
*Motor inboard I think will give better traction - almost creating a "mid-mounted" engine instead of the weight of the motor hanging over the back. Means motor and sensor wires can be shorter and neater especially with the ESC mounted at the rear of the chassis.
Losi trucks are not normally noted for toughness but this looks the goods!

A little update on the Strike.
The Losi's finished 3rd, 4th and 5th in their first outing of the A-main at the Short Course Nats over the weekend. The rest of the class were mainly SC10's. The three Losi's were stock except for one that had all the factory alloy bling for show and the other which was running a 10.5.
I also found some side by side shots of the Strike with a Slash.

Like the little motor cooling fan in the rear chassis - looks almost like it would be in a full scale version!

The Aust Losi distributor has not made any plans to bring the BND in as yet but the RTR is expected to be around $342. Might be cheaper if the dollar improves or vice versa.
They may still bring in the BND since they knew nothing about the Strike until I told them and at the time of telling them I didnt know there was a BND either.
Only major problem I have seen with the Losi Strike is the open diff but the truck it is still in the final stages of completion for the retail market and their R&D guy said there was talk of a sealed diff that may be included in the final production model. They also have a ball diff that will be available at the time of production.

I would recommend you stick with the Slash then.
You'll never find as many hop-ups for any of the other SCT's as you can for the Slash, which makes it a great contender for Toughest Truck in SCT racing or bashing.
