well,my time has now slowed with anything rc as i have finally got my new project

its a 1974 mk 1 escort with a 2 litre,twin side draught webers,extractors,exhaust,5sp celica box,lock diff,half cage etc

i finally gots it home

ive already pulledc the cage,seats and carpet out,and ive started the rust repairs on it,im gonna do some nice interior trim that is comfy yet functional,respray in black with silver metallic and air brushed rs2000 stripes,

also gonna build an angry engine for it too

These are such a nice little car... handle so well on the dirt aswell , couple of mates have some very nice rally setups they use in local state rally and targa road events over east.

Nice, I remember when I was runnin circuit there was a company in Vic that rebuilt the 1.6l Gemini engines and they could make them look bog stock down to the carby / air cleaner yet still put out 125kw, which for those things is huge. Chuck one of those in a TE Gemini and you could give most cars in the 1600-2000cc class a bloody hard time!

keepin old school for the moment,nice high revvin 2 litre with twin sid draughts for the moment i think,it has a little bit of rust in the floor and other parts but no where near what you'd expect for such and old ford anyways,

celica 5sp stays,ill get a more race seat for my side and i already have a 4 point harness,its gonna be sweet when i finished it anyways

god damn I love the MKII escorts... been through two in my life and I want another. :( So small, nible and handle great.

Here's one of my old ones, it got rear ended while parked up on the grass by some lady who lent over to do something to her baby in the passenger seat. Up the kerb and bam.

The other one was a ghia but the piston went kaboom, so the 1.6 out of this thing went into that :)

i rolled a escort down mandrah one day going down a dirt track hit the connor to fast foot all the way to the floor went over the enbackment almost ended up in the dewsville cut
