say hello to the Blitz, HPI's entry into CORR RC racing
http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/kits/103171/gallery1/003.jpg
looks like they gone the same way as associated and grabbed an existing car, firestorm, and modded it up with a longer chassis etc to suit CORR dimensions.

Definitely based more on the SC10 than a Slash but I think Nex was getting at the point that the Slash was the first RC 1/10 scale SC Truck.
If its anything like the Firestorm it should be the best handling truck in the SCT class with those tyres.
Anyone want to buy a SC10?

This will be a good option for the RTR guys.... I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a set of them maxxis tyres either.. Body looks more like the chuncky SC10 body too , could be a nice swap over shell as HPI bodys are nice and cheap compaired to others

Looks awesome i think should be good. The slash is the first of the recent sc's to be released but i'm pretty sure when losi first started they had a truck with a sc style shell so i think the slash is just a reincarnation of this truck.

A few months later. Has anyone got an opinion on the Blitz. Is it worth racing it down at West Coast or should I go Slash or SC10?

He didnt ask if I had one but yes it is worth racing it down at West Coast, so is the Strike, Slash and SC10.
So here is a my minimal experience with this truck so far.
The radio gear is typical HPI, the ESC is suppose to have lipo cutoff but I cant find that feature yet. Maybe its hidden or automatic. It also doesn't have a reverse disable function.
Out of the box it is the best handling of the 4 major brands in stock form.
Apart from putting my brushless setup and radio into it, the only other thing I did to it was put the supplied 4 degree toe in the back end. I want to try the supplied inline steering blocks to see if that improves the steering.
The 4000wt diff oil seems ok but mine was leaking out of the box, so as well as replacing the diff seals I might also decrease the oil to 3000wt.
Changing the spur gears is a nightmare, it took me longer to change the spur gear than it did to change the toe blocks. The spur gears are not compatible with any other brands like the Losi and Associated. At least it was easy to change the spurs in the Firestorm to another brand.
The stock belted Maxxis Trepador's are great for a stock tyre and the lack of balloonage is even better.
The greatest feature of this truck is supplied gear that make this truck a tuners dream like the inline steering blocks, 2, 3 and 4 degree toe adjustment for the rear end, 3 sets of shock pistons, spare servo horns and height adjustable battery mount.
Having said that I have been just as happy with the handling of the Strike, SC10 and the Slash, although I haven't driven a bog stock Slash at West Coast yet.
They all have their good and bad points.

looks like same SC15 used in other HPI RTRs... mine don't have lipo cutout,
doubt the reengineered it without any differentiation to old/existing SC15

These should make the Blitz handle better.
Fast Lane Machine 17mm Hex 5mm offset Adapters. They took about 5 minutes to install. They are a perfect fit with the slicks but with the Proline Calibers on Wabash wheels they rub a little on the front gaurds.
