Interested in joining in drifting or just wanna see what the deal is come out to one of the sunday arvo sessions.. or PM me for the web address of the drifters forum.

This weekend 2/8/09 we will be out the back of stanbridges from 12:00noon til about 5:00..

Drift comp happening this weekend.. location is stannies.. sunday : 9-8-09

Practice from 10:00 - 12:20
Nominations by 12:00
Qualifying starts at 12:30

got 20+ entry's so far more the merrier...
2 Classes . standard 1/10 4wd TC's with drift tyres and a 4wd mini class aswell..

Drifting today is morley galleria , chick treat end of undercover car park.. 11:30-12:00 and on..

Nice, the one thing i do like about drifting is the bodies, they're chosen for looks/bling, not their aerodynamic performance as is the case with actual touring car racing.

And Obz, slow ya shutter speed down a bit, go for panning shots at 1/250, 1/350ish. You'll get speed blur and wheel blur and actually give the impression of motion. Especially with drifters as otherwise the cars just look static, cant tell if they're moving.

some of those shots the cars are static :) that was the concourse judging.

in the moving ones the wheels are blurred, just juggling a 1 year old and trying to snap photos can put a cramp in your style so i missed half the cars that actually ran.
