Hey everyone,

Here it is, my Mini-T!!

Its been months in the making, but its finally come together.

Specs:

Team Losi Mini-T Pro
Mamba Competition X engine/esc combo (8000kv)
Hitec HS81MG servo
Custom Tamiya steering link (lost the original one!)
Dynamite aluminium steering set
Dynamite aluminium steering knuckles (not fitted yet though)
3 Racing carbon fibre chassis
3 Racing carbon fibre shock towers
3 Racing carbon fibre upper deck
3 Racing carbon fibre hinge pin retainers
3 Racing carbon fibre chassis stiffener plate
3 Racing alloy rear shock tower mount
Team Orion alloy pinions
GPM titanium hinge pins
Team Losi front and rear spring sets (soft, med, hard)
Team Losi foam street tyres
Team Losi step pin off road tyres

Parts I own but yet to install:
Dynamite aluminium steering knuckles
3 Racing carbon fibre servo plate

Its powered by a pair of Blind Batteries custom 6 cell GP packs, and a Kokam 3 cell LiPo which is on its way ;)

I'd like to modify it more but there isnt much more I can really do...if I snap any plastic parts, I'll go aluminium but until then, I'll stick with the plastic bits :)

Its my only RC now...I got addicted to 1/18 and sold everything else I owned!

Hope to see some of you guys down at the track...I really have to learn how to drive an overpowered 2WD buggy, but I'm getting there ;)

Mine looks very simular, I have the SSG 3Racing Chassis and Brace. Everything else is Blue Aluminium :)

3 cell LiPo hasnt arrived yet, but should be here soon...they had a problem with shipping to my PO BOX!!

I'm refraining from upgrading to an RC18T, because of the amount of hop ups on it...it is now getting all aluminium suspension bits!

Have added:

Dynamite aluminium steering knuckles
Dynamite aluminium rear knuckles
Dynamite aluminium C hubs
Dynamite aluminium f/r suspension arms
RS310 receiver
3 cell lipo battery pack (not pictured)

Oh, and of course, my beloved paddle tyres ;)

Dont worry about the foams on the front, the correct razor tyres will be purchased and fitted this week :D

The shell is a Team Losi Chev Silverado, with custom airbrushing by my mate Ash (who is fairly new to airbrushing). Its been masked with a XXX Main paint mask, and is painted with Parma pearl finish paints.

The pictures arent very good so you cant see the pearlescent finish, and the green is too green in the photos also, in person its much more subtle and looks nicer :(

I've also flipped the front suspension arms around, for more wheelbase ;)

Now all I gotta do is get it dirty!! I'm so proud of it now, very glad I kept it instead of buying an RC18T....no chance of being able to run paddles and razors on a 4WD!! :D

How do you find the steering circle now with the extended wheelbase?

im not getting rid of my mini t either, i will keep the rc18t aswell tho as the mini-t is maxxed out for hop-ups now other than a decent set of shocks (no rush for them though)

i really like the paintjob you have done there balistc, whats the main colour?

Yeah, paddles on front is a big no no...I know from experience with my Savage ;)

The main colour is a pearl white...in the pic it looks kinda cream coloured, but I can assure you, in person, its pearl white ;)

Joe, thats looking damn hot. well done mate! Just remember, despite it being madly hopped up, it's never finished :) there's endless combinations of tyres, and body shells you can do, etc. :) What you want to do is get it to the race track now, and of course we'll be looking at that new track construction after your uni shiz biz.. !super

As for shell/tyre combo, I've got 2 shells and 3 sets of tyres...how much more can I possibly do? :P

I got a baja shells. Mike's painting in true herbie colours/style. I guess in time for the new Herbie movie coming out perhaps? haha, I'll ring some cinema promotion offices and see if they wanna pay me to promo the herbie movie by hacking my mini-T around in the cinema foyers.. ROFL. they'd probably love it. infact... *ponder*...

trinity home brew hauler is being done in a real bright red with a pink metalic pearl in it, front will be white, fading back (as flames) to yellow, etc.. rear tray I think will be a chrome/silver look, as will the supercharger and exhaust pipes.

I just remembered I gotta get the extended body posts to run the baja shell :( and the homebrew runs weird posts that comes with it too.. I'll be constantly having to change posts over, doh. haha oh well. hot hot hot.

add to that the Topcad billet alloys, haha phat! I wont wanna race with these shells on! heh

i need someone to paint my shells for me too if anyone is interested, my mate was all keen as hell until he realised they were mini shells and then said "fookthatyahbastard!"

i need a h2, a mini-t standard shell and my rc18t shells painted if anyones up to the challenge :P
