Hey blokes , just taking this opportunity to welcome 1 of the newest hobby stores in Melbourne named " Central RC ".
Central Rc is situated at 43 Military Rd , Avondale Heights in Victoria .
I popped in today and spoke to Michael and he stocks a great range of helis , planes and cars from 1:18 to 1:5 .
Shop is new and clean , service comes with a smile but unfortunately they are walking distance from my place so God knows how broke im going to become as i saw a shelf queen within the first 3 seconds of walking in today .
Anyway , just giving you a heads up so if your in the area pop in and take a squiz .
Adam .

I went into Central RC today and had a good chat with one of the guys in there. Can't remember his name but he was friendly and new his stuff. He said they are opening a new track at the RSL (of all places) down the road.It is going to have that fake turf on it.Might have to take a look when I get the Maxx going again.

Yeah his name is Michael , heaps of time for anyone and no question is ever stupid for him
I didn't get news about the track though , this excites me . Might send him and email to help him start out , may get a Melbourne club involved with TA

Ohh well , as they say , time will tell .
These blokes are just a bunch of clowns .
I conntinually order stuff off them , they continually DO NOT RING when the item is in and my last order was the clincher where i ordered a balancer lead foe my swollow charger 3 weeks ago , no call , i rang them . they said they got a whole lot of stuff in and it was there , i go down now and they said , nah mate , havnt got 1 .
To me they seem like 2 guys that raced at a club and decided to open a shop with no idea on how to serve a customer and i say this as 1 of the easiest people to deal with , ive ALWAYS got cash on me , if i walk into a hobby shop its a garunteed sale on something ... so i wouldnt say im a hard customer to keep happy .
Weve got 2 GREAT shops here in Melbourne , unfortunately they are too far for me to travel so unless i am in the area of the other shops im back to online buying .
Melbourne blokes , dont bother taking the drive out to Avondale .

Too late RB, dropped in there on the weekend..... not a lot of interest to me or my vintage eye... :(
Bit too much room behind the counter for my mind.... I like to look at the lexan in front of me, not across the room behind the counter..... but hey, that's my old eyes!

Well after boycotting these guys for over a year , i gave in as DESPERATION for a servo horn pushed me there after i exhausted ALL 4 hobby shops within 40ks of me .
Heckle and Jeckle are obviouisly still running the store and i was greeted with this ( i swear to god ) " hey mate , u right of just F****G looking around " .
Anyway , asked nicely if he had a servo horne for the servo i had in my hands and in the 3 minutes i was in there , no word of a lie , i swear on my kids he would have ripped the F word off in front of me and 2 others in the shop MINIMUM 15 times which was pretty much a drop in every sentance he spoke .
I admit i have a bit of a bad mouth on me , but i know when and where to use it and to be honest in the environment i was in there where no one knows no one and its an over the counter business , i actually found it offensive as i was embarresed for the 2 other shoppers in there and just found there was no need for it no matter how much he was trying to find one .
Thumbs down again as nothings changed , their officially a cross off my list now
PS ... Picked up an interesting new car from a hobby shop in Tullamarine ... will update later once i give it a run tonight :)

I may be showing my age now that I've hit 40, but I agree, that's not something I appreciate.... there's a time and a place for everything, by crikey.....
