Hi Josh
Depends on which club you want to join. At the moment you've got Carine, Bayswater, and Bunbury. However, there are quite a few rules specifically about joining with Truggies. Because of a lot of issues, and because of the sheer size and power of truggies, no-one can just start running one. You have to be a member in a normal 1/10th class for at least a year, and be a driver in good standing before being allowed to run 1/8th. At that point the existing 1/8th drivers will basically give you a driving test so you can run them.
These rules were created because of the chaos some people caused when they just showed up with a 1/8th, and as far as i know they still stand.
Try contacting Nissanmania on here, he should be able to give you all the details.

i think carine may let you run 1/8th without the years probation, but you may still have to check with volker to see.
it was introduced at bayswater because a few ruined it for the rest of the ppl by just driving as if it was a bash session during races. now you have to prove your a racer.

yer well bayswater let me race truggies there after seeing me race 4wd mod and also i was
a menber years ago at bayswater. wouldnt mind to join carine due to that they race truggie class all the time.
E revo is borderline to race with truggies anyway, becasue it isn't one, but I think Carine will let you run that.
Radio Rally will let you run on club days, although not sure how long for, and MORBC will let you race that, because they are looking for members, but again, when the classes start to get full they all might bump you because its a M/T....
If you want to fix that of course grad the Traxxas Centre Diff conversion, then its all good everywhere.

We have no problems you running your E-Revo at club events at Carine as long as you can demonstrate reasonable proficiency. You can join Carine if you want to race on the 27th. It will be $25 for the rest of the year which entitles 1/2 price at our occassional race days and entitles you entry at interclubs/states - but be aware other clubs will probably not welcome your MT without meeting the conditions listed by KB

Actually as mentioned, if memory serves Josh did run his 4wd at bayswater, and was clearly a proficient driver, so was allowed to run his Revo.
I'm not up to date on the exact rules for the class, but as Dags mentioned, an e-revo is an MT, not a truggy, is it allowed under the current WAORMA rules for the class? Since its an interclub event, that will need to be checked first.

The current WAORMA rules draughted for MT's allow for either MT or Truggies.
There are no specific rulings by WAORMA regarding experience level, this is, as far as I'm aware, a West Coast rule. It is up to each club to determine if/how MT's are run.
MT drivers, as a group, need to ensure drivers meet a high standard so as not to jeopordise the goodwill of other clubs. So as far as Carine is concerned you could run if you demonstrate reasonable competency - we've got a busy-bee Sunday pm so come down later in the day and have a drive.
Weather is looking much better on Saturday at this stage, I would come and help out with a friend if it meant a chance to have a drive :D
