Can anyone shed some light on this crawler for me? I spotted one for sale at LHS for 649, it just seemed a bit overpriced for crappy motors, servo, esc and radio gear. Going brushless adds more cash to equation, 2X motor and 2X speedy id assume. But the bones of this rig look like the goods.
It looks tough, which is what im after :D

haha RB I went into the LHS one day with the mrs lookin for a new donk for the 5B. There was a 5T on the counter and she said "that one looks better than yours, why not just get that"
So i got my 5T and a new 09 26cc zen off the net a month or two later :)
Only problem is mate, she spends the same as me on scrapbooking stuff :*( !!!!!

Got my Gladiator today! the stock esc does not like my dx3s for some reason so im using the RTR gear right now. Goes pretty good, might look for some softer tires tho. Hopefully take it out tomorrow for a wallop!
oh yeah one shock has no oil, no residue either factory man must have had a snooze. What weight oil is a good starting point?

Change the frame rate on the DX3S to 16ms and it'll work fine with the stock esc. Its in the SYSTEM settings, second from the bottom "F Rate".
40 or 50 wt for the shocks and while you have them apart chuck about 5 - 10 mm (its a personal choice but you'll figure it out) of fuel tube between the piston and the body to lower the rig down. Will make a massive difference.
