First run on the new track layout next Sunday.
Gates open 7.30am, racing 9.00am. Finish before it gets too warm (if you're a pussy!)
Drinks and some roast rolls (will fire up the Webber this time) for lunch.
Registration via Alycat online entries. For those not familiar, go to www.alycat.com (http://www.alycat.com) and go to "Enter Online" tab which will load a small program enabling you to enter and check other entries for the meeting.
Will group mod/stock truck and buggy classes unless big enough groups to split into separate mod/stock classes.
1/8 electric welcome.
Paul
Hey Paul great to hear you have the track up and running already. Do you have any photo's?

It's very much an interim layout but it's a good drive and something a little different till we get the track fully sorted.

Im keen and have registered for 2wd and Truck. But the BMX bandits have been there during the holidays and the track will need just a little bit of work to be usable again. I should be able to go down for a couple of hours one day after work before Sunday but could probably do with some help to reposition some of the astro and the jump from the new straight which the kids used with some 44gal drums to make massive jumps for their bikes. Adrian, will you be able to come down one day?

Yeh mate no worries any day/arvo this week . Saturday is probably best, a lot cooler and little chance of the turds getting in there again before race day.

Not sure that i'll be able to make it down on saturday. I'll head down tomorrow (wednesday) arvo for a couple of hours after work and that should do it apart from the jump. Maybe a couple of the others guys can help saturday or we could even do on sunday before we start if we have too, it wont take long

I'll be heading down Sat Arvo at 2pm for a tidy up. Volker's coming down as well. I'll take the grass cutter.

Adrian, im going after work so will be about 5pm. It sounds like the other guys are going saturday so no real need to come down today if it dosent suit. Im intending to put the track edging back to mark the new corners as this has been removed and try to get the astro back to how it was after the last time we were all there. Will still need to re-make the new jump and cut the grass. The track was in a bit of a 'state' at the weekend but shouldn't be too hard to tidy up for racing
Congrats Carine for putting on a race meet so soon after major track modifications. I was unable to race today so I took a few pics. As with all good race meets a certain amount of work must be done in the pits...
All good clubs also need to be provided with food. Carine is of course famous for it's menu. Paul and Volker do an exceptional job in the kitchen (not sure about Volker's hygene !) and on the track...
There were some interesting trucks and buggies on show . However in the end someone needed to relieve himself (on the track) from all that hard work, I just hope he washed his hands afterwards ???
Action shots will come later...

Thanks to everyone for making it a fun days racing and especially to Paul for setting it all up and for cooking the food. Thanks to Kai and Scotty for coming along and giving us carine guys some 1/10th competition!
Ok here are a few Stadium Trucks more coming...
This is the last of the Stadium Trucks. Buggies and CORR Trucks will come later.

Thanks for putting up those shots of pit "action" - Volker's like that when he's off the leash! But seriously, great shots which give a sense of the life in the pits.
Thanks to all that raced and enjoyed a relaxing day in the sun at Carine. No egos were damaged in the process, just a few parts. The new track layout kept everyone on their toes, that's for sure.
The current pork roll eating record of 4 (I think) held by Changy was not broken today as Aari didn't have the guts (literally) for the job. Maybe next time if there's some apple sauce?

+ 1 on the apple sauce. Would of been good to see a couple more people that arent scared of sunlight turn up but a great days racing was had anyway. Thanks Paul and Volker for putting on the day see you at the next one.
It's time for CORR trucks and a single buggy (1/10) who wasn't afraid to mix it with a couple of CORR trucks
This is the last of this set, 1/8 buggies are coming soon...

...the last of the 1/8. I hope you like.
Carine always proves to be a fun and entertaining track to race on. I'm sure we all hope to see more racing soon.
Dumb question - where in Carine is this place? What road is it off?
Thanks!

Fantastic shots Paul. The CORR Truck racing was entertaining to watch and I think you caught the often titanic struggle taking place!
Funny how the best shots of the MT's (and all) are when we get it horribly wrong and throw up heaps of dirt in an excercise in futility trying to make up ground!
