Well it was a big disapointment that 4 people turned up. All i am going to say is im not going to waste any more of my weekends for this. I get no support from any of our comittee so as far as i am concerned i am finished. We tried but without support i am walking away unless someone sticks there hand up to help.

I endorse the decision that the club should be wound up with immediate effect .

maybe change days again as sats seem busy for a few people and some even have work

It's still school holidays and not every one is back to work just yet. Having said that I will struggle normally to show up on a Saturday.

But you have been the driving force behind this club and I guess it's your call and I will support you which way you decide. There has been very little sustained support and without it running a club is oh so difficult.

Well my biggest gripe is it takes more than one person to run a club. two hours to pick up the transponders from bayswater on Friday. Two hour to return them today plus my petrol. Opening the doors every weekend and setting up. Where are the rest of the committee. I'm not running it by my self anymore. There's a perfectly good venue with a track to run on if anyone wants to help. Maybe we should just hire it and when people feel like running on-road they can come down and setup. A little birdie told me that bayswater wont be up an running before April at the earliest.

you might want to drop the meets back to once a month, set the schedule for the year so no-one can complain they only got a weeks notice, and if possible move them to a sunday.

just my 2c. saturdays are a no-go for me, only time that the whole family can actually go out and stuff is open.

Craig, instead of threatening to pack you your bat and ball, which you've done before, take a good look at the circumstances.

There was good attendances on Sundays. People could travel from far north of the river on a Sunday moring and race. Most people work work during the week, leaving Saturday for family shopping and outings. By moving the racing to Saturday afternoon, you've caused a massive time issue for people who want to travel to race. They'd have to leave Joondalup around 12ish. That means less than3 hours to get family things/shopping organised.

It's also the last weekend of the school holidays, so I'm sure that alot of potential racers would be spending the last few days of the school holidays with their kids, and finishing the last few things ready for Monday.

At the moment the organisation of everything sucks as well. Prime point is the "New forum for Kwinana!" thread. It's not hard to create a new thread for topics to save people reading through multiple pages of disjointed posts. There's no set classes to race, no promotion of those classes, and no points racing either. What incentive is there for people to become members?

Craig, I sent you some sms's Friday in regards to the Winter Club Open day, offering to come along to the council meeting to sort thing out, if you could pick me up at the train station. Not having a drivers license at the moment is making things exceptionally difficult in all aspects. Along with those sms's were an idea for a spec class, which you never acknowledged.

Now, as for where the committee has been, I can't speak for the others. I myself have been in a rather dark, deep hole emotionally, mentally, physically and financially. Having a criminal record all of a sudden based on the false testimony of two of WA "finest" and taking a forced 6 month holiday from the state's roads makes a mess of a person. Coupled with a nice monetary fine, legal costs, and the depression that goes along with it, served to almost cost me my job, marriage and self dignity. The rock bottom was spending a night in the emergency ward with severe chest pains, and then all the tests following that in the subsequent weeks. Everything's almost back to normal now, but it's one day at a time, and quite a few changes have been made.

There's still 3 months on my suspension, and I'll do what I can, but it's a two way street. It's a bit hypocritical to make decisions by yourself without consulting anyone, and then complain you have no support. After the meeting at your house, a few people asked what happened. There's been no reply from you. Seriously, things have to be more organised, or it'll continue being a joke.
