It will give you the basic idea, but its just up down left and right flying.. wont let you bank tho and thats the hardest part of flying planes, getting use to that.

I had a mid air with a magpie today , he lost some feathers I gained a slightly bent prop shaft, bloody birds next time i won't be so nice when i swoop down at them again :D but the plane came through with a slight bit of rash on the nose :( tough little planes ;)

+1 on its toughness.... very good to learn on as it hasn't destroyed itself after 18 crashes......

-1 need lots of space with no wind..... (slight wind is ok but it struggles) only place i can think of flying this is in a hangar... (going to have to find one soon..)

Do you have the High Rates selected on the radio? I think its switch 0 and/or 1.

Check the throw of the elevator and rudder. In high the rudder movement should be 6mm (low is 4mm) and elevator should be 4mm (low is 3mm). This will make a big difference to how it flies.

LMK how you go.

Cable as Richard said if your light on the controler is blinking you have it on low press the throtle leaver down to change to high and the light should stop flashing

Flew it early this morning when there was less wind (leaves on the top of trees were not moving) and it flew quite fine to my surprise. Very twitchy but maybe because of the settings on DX6. I've noticed that birds do like to attack it.... quite funny to watch. Birds snapped one of my props.. luck i got a spare.

? i can't see any blinking light on the dx6i.... would this be on the screen?

I'll give that a try as I'm still trying to get used to this dx6i. Can't be bothered reading the manual as it is too thick... :D opening page 1 bores me already :)

Currently it is all set to 100% being new, I've set it now so 0 is set to 100% and set 1 to 62% for Elev/Ail/Rud and see how it will fly this afternoon.

Cable , I thought you had it on the radio it comes with. You have to turn down the rates on the DX6I as it will default to 100%

cheers. yeah I set them @ 62% but was not able to try it this arvo... I'll try within the week and see how it goes.

I bet this thing will fly really well indoors so i'll have to find a place where i could fly it. also been thinking about getting that vapor and the Sukhoi SU-26xp. Are they both any good? (durability and/or fun factor)
