Hey guys thanks for your kind words about Perth Hobby we do try our best, unfortunately an online store is a significant outlay which at the moment we are tossing up the benefits of.

cheers,

see, i now have even more respect for you guys seeing you take an active part in the local rc community.

maybe i need an account set up or a tab that i keep in credit to have my gear sent straight out to me... or have you keep my credit card on file so i can ring up and rattle off an order and have it here the next day :P

oh crap that could be soooo dangerous for my marriage :(

You guys are champs.

Rob, perhaps we can discuss the setting up of an online store for PHC. I'll talk to you about it directly when we next meet.

If your curious. check this site out:
http://www.modyourcar.com.au/
it's an online auto parts shop. A friend of mine runs the site, I setup the infrastructure for... This is an EXTREME example mind you (a couple of years of work in it)

show's whats possible though.

as for weighing up if it's worth it. I reckon 80% of RMS's sales are web based. They make it perfectly clear that if you want the cheaper price, you must order it through their web service....

Is this an RC forum or a free advertising board for Perth Hobby? Most firms have to pay for advertising, so if we're going to plug a business and that business's specials, they should at least make a financial contribution to Matt, James and anyone else at Teamadrenaline for site upkeep and the like. At least cough up for a banner ad!

Gee, a negative comment from Nexxus, what a surprise!

Personally I find it a great thing that a local hobby shop is actually involved in the hobby at this kind of level! Shows they actually know what people are interested in, and show an interest in the hobby beyond just making a profit.

Am I right in believing there are a few people here who work at Perth Hobby Centre, and Perhaps some from Ryper hobbies? Any other hobby shop employees frequenting the site?

Matt

slow down tiger. Perth Hobby Center do help us out. mention that you are a member of Team Adrenaline when youre at Perth Hobby (or even that you heard about Perth Hobby on Team Adrenaline) and they look after you on prices. its too easy. i beleive MJ is also adding a link to Team Adrenaline to their shop website.

it is bloody good to have staff from the hobby shops on here for the simple fact that you can make a post on what you want and voila there is a reply with price and availability.

free advice is also another perk, read most threads from T4_Trasher and you'll see he's given his input on what works and what doesnt.

its great!!

matt.

i have a question:

Where the hell can i buy some two shoe clutch springs... i can't find these little buggers anywhere :D

BALISTC

I agree....they are offering discount, and a link exchange on their site, so there shouldnt be a problem with having them on here.

Its not as if they are plugging their store every post, they are putting up prices and helping out TA members wherever they can.

Hey, if I can get a discount on RC gear (which doesnt happen often unless you buy from Tower Hobbies), I'm not complaining at all ;)

M.J

Then thats great, my point was it has to be a two way street, we plug them, they plug us, it's all good. But incidentally, maybe it's me, but the people closely associated with Perth Hobby seem to be EXTREMELY defensive of their beloved store. To be fair though, I have found them to be a lot better than Stanbridges, Perth Model Centre and MAS hobbies (but thats just this consumers humble opinion)

T4Trasher
26-10-2005, 12:05 PM
I am defencive about anything i am passionate about nexxus which is why i react when mitchremotes makes comments about my r/c driving because i am passionate about it.. I am lucky enough to be passionate about the place i work and it appears King Bob and M.J. are as well. This in my opinion is a good thing. If TA wants us to pay to advertise here which in my opinion what i post is hardly advertising then we will do that. However you will all have to go back to paying regular shelf prices??? You guys decide????

T4Trasher
26-10-2005, 12:07 PM

thats all good and all if a shop came on and advertised blatently but T4trasher didnt mention anything bout orders or plugs until the uther members on the forum asked. If u ask u get i suppose its not a direct plug. On anuther note perth hobbie sounds like a good place to order from have to keep them in mind. !boobs <<haha nice boobs...
