I'm trying to decide what to do about a body for my new revo and just wanted some thoughts from you guys.

The options I'm considering right now are:
1. Get a clear Traxxas Revo body and paint it myself. $85 (body, some spray cans, masks, PRE-CUT)
2. Get a clear Crowd PLeazer 2 body $90 (same as above, but have to cut all the holes myself, dodgy)
3. Order a cutom painted body from http://www.pyrographix.net/ $130 (body + paint job like in the pic below except darker blue, shipping, prob wont have to cut it myself).

seriously no offence, but the cost is not really all that different (assuming I'd be paying for paint/masks). Plus, if pyrographix screw up, they can't really send me a screwed up body, they'll have to do another one. With your mate, I'd feel a bit guilty making him pay for any mistakes...

I figured that grand prix pattern would require a mask of some sort (not to mention the flame pattern)?

I guess my two main concerns are, can he get it *just right*? And, what happens if he screws it up (even little things like heavy handed shading bugs me)?

When do you wont it by mike is currently painting Australias ##1, 1/8 driver Martin Wolfhunters body for his new sponsored ride for ofna. All of mikes bodies are hand masked no prepaid maskes ,you may wont to check it out before you go spending big.The body mike painted for me for the state titles was entered in to the concoarse event & won the day so with the prize money that i recieved the body only cost me $10.00.

Ok, you reckon you can ask this guy what his thoughts about painting the style I wanted? I'm still considering what to do.

Ummah Daz, don't let Martin see you type his surname wrong. Just for the record (off topic), Australia's #1 1/8th champ is Martin Wolhuter. Carry on :p

ok, the cost of running a monster truck just hit home :P

I'm gonna paint the body myself. It's only gonna get lunched when I bash the hell out of it.

dont remind me ,in the two years of running a monster ive spent BIG,Another very competitive MT driver has spent $1400.00 in the last 16mths ,i know 1st hand why 1/18th racing is so attractive.but lets face it MONSTERS ROCK .
