Hey guys , was down the hobby shop today and came this cought my eye .
Its a 3ch job being up/down , forward /back and left/right . I know most arnt looking at 3ch helis with 4ch being so cheap now but there are factors to consider . 1: not everyone can fly and a 4ch as they do requier you practicing on a flight sim , 2: these are cheaper .
FIRST thing that cought my eye was the appearance of it . Looks awesome with its pearl gold and black spray job , all aluminium frame . In saying all this , it was also the size that attracted me :
Length: 665mm (26.18 inch)
Main Rotor Diameter: 535mm (21.06 inch)
Comes with battery , remote , charger so its pretty much charge and fly . THe battery is a Lithium Ion pack ( with balance leads ) and has HEAPS of punch .
THE ONLY probem is this heli comes as a mode 2 with the throttle on the left and elevator and rudder on the right , its a fairly simple change over but does involve time and patience to swap the joysticks around .
Flying is pretty good , get the hover happening with just some slight rudder trim and your good to get it level , go make a coffee come back and it will still be hovering where you left it . TO fly inside you will need a nice size room as it will move around pretty quick once you start moving . I flew it outside today with a fair bit of wind and it made it just but still no nitro to push through with full power .
Ok , price , it was only $110 which for its size is really cheap i reckon .
I know you can buy 4Ch ones for about $150 but they are no where near the size or even build quality as this and the other thing is most people cant pick up a 4channel and just start flying as they would this .
