went down to the hobby shop today and got some 1:8 scale shock and custom made them to fit my slash

they are supposed to look like the new proline protrac shock

they work great and should make my slash's handling much better

here is some pics

they're a copy of the Proline Powerstrokes ,one of the best shocks around .I had them on my Emaxx.
Where did you get them from CP??

great job...they look like they were ment for the slush

i custom made them out of 1:8 scale shocks and the original shock that came on the truck. they are realy smooth. i cant wait to drive and test them

Not bad mate, I did similar with some old Ofna shocks on my Slash

Drilled out the pistons a tad, put some limiters inside the shock body to reduce uptravel etc. With the stock springs it works well and fit up nicely.

it seems to be a realy good idea. hey nexx the only thing thats different id my have 2 lots of springs

Yeah I found that unless you drop the height back to standard Slash height, it gets top heavy, so your Slash now probably sits really high compared to stock which is why you need the extra springs. But give it a bash, but I found it understeered a lot when set up the way you did it.

yeh well i aint got any tyres to go and test them. im hopefully going to perth rc this weekend to get some slash tyres or something. i hope there is a pair ther for $22 coz thats all that i got

get 1/8 adapters and buy a set of 1/8 secondhand tires from ryper

nah obz im trying to keep it as slash like as possable. i hade 17mm hex adapters on there before and the just dont work for me

does anyone know a cheep 3x2.2 size sc tyre thats $22. i will just glue them onto my old wheels

Mate u cant get them for $22 US from overseas, you wont find a pair less than $40ish locally!

i just boiled the old tyres of and got some tyre glue and glued them onto the old rims
