I remember when the VQ first came out, my Uncle was state Vehicle Distribution Manager for Holden WA and came around in a VQ Caprice (the irony is we now own two Fords and he is now retired and gets around in a Camry.) A very nice car, especially if you find a good clean example. Nice one!

Last night some rat-tailed bogan dickheads pulled in front of my son, my son tooted his horn at them so they abused him out the window for a kilometer or so and so busy they were doing this they didnt stop for a red light and smacked into police car coming through the intersection. Just had to laugh about it:)

The most awesome thing in the world to ever do is at my local traffic light/fixed speed camera on leach highway/bungaree rd intersection. As you're approachign the lights from about a kilometer you jsut slow down... maybe to 50kph or something... then dickhead in the v8 behind you pulls out, you speed up to make it a challenge for him to pass you, he eventually roars past you at 80kph (speed limit 70), and then you see the beautiful sight of camera flash as he goes past the speed camera. It's jsut magical.
Hope your mrs is alright big kev... that looks like a good right off...

Must of been a full moon last night or the planets are in the f#@k whit alignment phase as i too witnessed a priceless piece of driving. Was woken by someone in a crudsport trying to get his car off the verge after losing it on a dead straight road , removing most of his front end on a reasonable size bottlebrush tree then dragging it 200m down the road. Didnt realise how much plastic are in cars these days looks like a plane crash. Hope your mrs is ok.

Big Pete just use rear photos when selling it and hand over your car keys to your wife.

When a shithead in a v8 tailgates you when you're doing 70 on a 70 road and in the left lane, when there is no traffic in any of the TWO lanes next to you... shit yeah i'm gonna give him grief. Especially when he starts flashing you and puts his lights on high beam.

3rd party insurance MUST be compulsery ... i cannot believe they still havnt made it legal .. END OF STORY
For you people saying " well i just cant afford it " well ill say it here ... get off the ****ing road and catch public transport if your not going to be responsible

No license = no insurance. Read any policy and you'll see the same because the vehicle will only be insured if it is being used in a legal manner. No license, drink driving, etc means no insurance is effective.
If Pete had comprehensive on his policy then he could claim and pay the excess.

In WA 3rd party IS compulsory. Its part of your registration.

Thats 3rd party personal injury
Not 3rd party car insurance
Thats 3rd party personal injury
Not 3rd party car insurance
That's correct, and as Zoom posted, since this spanner had no license, it doesn't matter what insurance was held over the car, it is all redundant.
At this point any compensation for the damage will be done through the civil court process or Petes knuckles.

3rd party insurance included with your licence covers injury to people but not damage to property. Damage to property falls under your basic car insurance, whether you go 3rd party (damage to others) or comprehensive (damage to both parties)

Mate, check your bill. If your 'in arrears' you are still ok as the policy was maintained.
If the policy is stopped, different story.
Glad Cooks neck is alrightish.

best thing to go now is go see a physio, its all covered by the third party on your rego, tell them its motor vehicle accident related, insurance will send you some forms and if you keep going back for a month or two they then send out a letter with a payout figure to entice you to take a lump sum instead of them continuing to pay for treatment.
i got 2.5k for a headon with a moron, and the missus got the same when some 92 year old pulled out in front of her. i should have told em to get stuffed as i used that up in treatment pretty quickly, but the wife had a sore knee that settled down after a few sessions so it was a bonus for her.
