Actually Big Pete you were not told that, you miss heard. what you heard is that the insurance has gone up big time there was no mention of the gear not being borrowed again to Carine or any one else as it has been lent to others as well. WCMRC needed them back to code a new computer for the on road racing and also the insurance currently does not cover them off site. We are currently trying to fix that with the insurance people.

I would check your sources Pete it sounds like you only have a little bit of the story. The facts are the cost to West Coast for our liability and property insurance has gone through the roof and no small part of that increase was because we have been covering Carines public indemity insurance and it costs extra to cover our timing equipment when used away from the West Coast track. When Carine started to get going again around twelve months ago we agreed to help them out with these two issues in return for a small hire fee on the gear to recoup some of our costs.Initially numbers racing at Carine were fairly small and we decided to waive the hire charge untill numbers increased. It is great to see Carine getting on their feet and a credit to the handfull of guys that are running race meets and maintaining the track.Although numbers attending race meets at Carine have been resonable for some months now to date we have not seen a cent from Carine and have simply asked now that attendances have reached resonable levels that they start paying the hire fee as per our agreement with the club.

No its all cool Pete I just thought I post up the facts so that you had the full story. At the end of the day there are too few clubs in Perth and we all need to stick together.

The track has drained well since the pipes have been unblocked and you could run today if you wanted to so unless its pouring on Sunday morning i cant see it being a problem . I will be there on Saturday as well to fix up a sinkhole thats appeared behind the crossover so if you want to come down then and have a run that will be ok.
