Site migration and new theme!

At first I thought it looked a bit cluttered, but after a minute now I like it!

I only have one suggestion. Is there any way to better differentiate the chatbox posts? Like maybe colour every other post a different background shade or something?

yeh takes a bit to get used to..

chatbox, nah, no way to make every 2nd post a diff colour... hrmmmm I'll see what i can come up with, sometime.

its taking my eyes a fair bit to adjust to the dull grey and dusty blue look of the site.

it all seems to blend into a blob to me :(

might be the lcd's or it might be me not wearing my glasses...

then again it could be the site with its wierd colours :D

my LCD loves the new scheme... the forum still has a white background...

I'll tinker with it later. maybe brighten it up.

a new design was needed, we had the old look on the site for a long period of time.

what youre experiencing here is "change", thats all. its like changing grades in school, new teacher, etc, and you will get used to it real quick.

Good point. Constructive criticism is always a good thing. It just shows the love people have for this site. They want it to be the best it can be!

give me some time (i have a life too)... I'll play with changing somet of the colours. the theme will stay for now however. I'll just try brighten it up a bit...

hrmmm, I dunno about you guys, but I love the new site theme. it looks damn nice on the PC's I use (laptop, home tft, work tft)... hrmm.

Can you guys let me know if you've "adjusted" to it more, before I waste time hacking the theme up to make it brighter? Perhaps you could be specific on what you'd like to see brighter? like I can make certain box backgrounds white, or... I just love it, it's so smooth. when I first showed it to Matt, he almost jizzed there and then!

I think they just want the background colour to the forum (where the writing is) to be lighter (or white).

Personally the only thing really bothering me at the moment is the stupid little double arrow nav_m.gif next to the title "Forums". It's like it's out of place....hahahaha....such a small thing, but I look at it everytime and want to hack the code and fix it.

Also, how come it says ".::Team Adrenaline ::Team Adrenaline::."?

I got totally confused when viewing the forum looking for new posts in the various titles. The x&o coloured grid to indicate new posts threw me off, had a hard time differentiating the colours, although i do believe I am colourblind to a degree. hehe now I just look at the dates on the rightside. I am liking the colours though. I think it's better then the old window box layout from before.

Oh yeah, I get confused with those grids too. Well, I have to look at it harder to make sure it's really a differnent colour. I vote to make it yellow/orange.

I've now fixed the new post indicator (updated post indicator), etc... it's sorta pink now, haha, it was sposed to go ... red. oh well.

Cool man.. like I said, I might look into brightening things up, but a this stage the colours work well with ea other. I'm afraid if I "whiten" all the boxes up, it will look whacked. We will see.

Added, Airfox, Bombjack, Mario Tetris 3, Sonic the HedgeHog and the original Donkey Kong..

More games will be added each month'ish. :)

I should start charging a fee or subscription for gameplay hehehe.. put some money back into this site!

I changed the way the stars ranking works... in order to hopefully fix a problem that Justin was having with uploading in the forums... you'll now notice you have less stars than before! I simply doubled the ranking points required to obtain said stars... stupid stars.

switch up on shelf.

just need small 19" rack up on shelf (4RU) a patch panel, mount the 19" switch in.

and a half-height 19" rack under, with rack mount servers :)

hmm, the setup looks more impressive in real life that it does in the pic.

last night (saturday), james and i installed some more hardware into the team adrenline server (known as "annalise", the micro tower next to the CRT in the above pic). she was given extra ram and an optical drive allowing us to perform backups to disc.

also as mentioned, the 24 port switch was put online last night as well while doing hardware upgrades, and this was donated by our good mate Kingbob! thanks mate!!
