I'm just curious how everybody heard about this site, but I'm sure James and Matt would be interested as well.
This site is almost impossible to find via google so I figure people are coming via word of mouth or from other sites. Great to know!
Personally, I came from some other rc drift site (RC Dori?). I think James had mentioned something there about this site so I came and had a look and forgot to go back :P

I came over here when Matt sent out an open invitation to the guys over at www.overclockers.com.au glad I took that invite.

nice thread Justo, good idea! definately interested to know how people found it...
I was bored one day, so I suggested to matt that we setup a site, just for a few of us, to keep track of our hobby, have mainly stuff just for us, like race results, setup sheets, rah rah, for our own use. I came up with the name, registered the domain name, then it blew up. the site got... good. we told a few people about the site, then BANG. Seems to be growing more and more every day. I'd say 90% of the members are all WA based too.
We use a web system called e107, check it out at www.e107.org. Since running it, I now run it on another one of my personal sites, and the more I play with it the more i learn it, etc. it's very powerful, and can be complex, but we do okay.
Just wanna keep it 'real' with the site too. Directly for the enthusiasts, without the crap. Sure there are other good r/c sites, they have loads of content, which we lack, but are getting there, but I dont think there's another r/c that matches this one for dynamics and features.. :)
having fun!!

after being in this hobby for a little over a month now, always been around electriconics, computers and standard car and motorbike engines, this site is a winner.
the fact its local leaves all other sites for dead. I honestly couldnt give a shit about Eastern states bash days, races, tracks events UNLESS someone from WA is participating.
as we more than likely dont, this site is it for me.
i actually found this site through a search engine while i was searching for local WA tracks.
this place has more active users than any australian site i have seen yet (pple visiting and actively contributing to the site).
i reckon if this continues to concentrate on WA issues and races and tracks it will grow a lot faster than if it were to branch out into a national site. content and info is always easy to get hold of off other sites. linking to it here is a great idea, but keeping the info and content local will win out in the end.
and we all know... the rest of australia is shit and full of whiney bastards :P

Always great to have people who work in rc contribute to an rc site.
Maybe we need to get the other hobby shops on board?

a mate from my car club told me, dunno how he found out about here
I got on to TA from rctech.net forum under WA off road racing. I think theres a fair few from west coast and carine are on here also
i had started RC car racing in sydney, and james (being in perth) pulled out his old Losi truck and got it cranking again. james put up a basic website on my linux box at my apartment - at the time it had the bigger ADSL link. we used it, invited a few mates to join, and the site got some usage. we then took a chance and i advertised on overclockers.com.au and james advertised on pulsar.org.au (i think?) and on it went.
i continued racing getting further and further into the sport. i relocated back home to perth and took james to an RC race meet at west coast model rally club, then carine. he became hooked, and meanwhile word of mouth was spreading about www.teamadrenaline.net
we moved the site back to james's house because i no longer had the ADSL link (i had just moved back to perth), and we went even bigger on the ADSL to make the site even faster for the users.
on the weekend just gone, we x-fered the site onto "Annalise", a linux box, and she is a dedicated machine purely for this site only. she is the linux box we used in my sydney apartment to first host teamadrenaline.net.
now we pull the chicks daily, they run up to us in the street and say "OMFG, youre the TA boys"
:p

I think I found out from Matt Riley, who was told by Rob Thomas, who found out from BB, who found out from the guys themselves. And the world goes round.

I've been plugging the forum a bit more on rctech in the various painting and photography threads i've posted in. PLus with pics posted from National level events, we've probably had some more interstate members/viewers as well.
impossible to find on google? - thats how i found it..
I was searching for , how to run in a nitro engine, for pages in australia, and one of the links was to a thread in this site about it, and i just kinda hung around since then :P

i found out cause i was looking for rc classiefieds and this site came up on google looked like a good site was australian with the terminology i understand so i joined
i think i can claim some responsibility for this whole thing.... i went to ross's place one night and he had his drifter out, and this got me back into the whole 'R/C' thing again, it had been over 3 years since my last car.
i went down to james's and showed him the drifter and he was like hey i have an old off road truck and cranked it up.
if i remember correctly i gave him my stick pack that came with my TB-02 for his truck.
and then it went from there.
i found out about the site just after it had started. i didnt really have good i/net access at that time so took me a while to register. !burnout

Well coming from one of those full of shit, whiney bastards, I first saw TA when I went to buy an RC from Azza...blame 'im !silly
I'm also a member of RCTech which is good for our local stuff here on the lower class side of Oz, but this site is a heap of fun. I enjoy the digs and stiring a little !devil

For me the focus is not on how I got here, but merely that I am here
Rob at PHC got me on to this site. Also his fault for getting me hooked on RC fullstop!
Well done guys!
