This is just an EOI, who'd like to buy some brand new cell's?
I'm looking at maybe organising a group buy (so we get them cheaper) for matched GP3700 cells. Matched by Harris R/C (www.harrisrc.com)
This is what I'm looking at :
GP3700 Cells
6-Cell 1.175+ 35amp Matched Pack
Price: $109.95
That price gives you their highest voltage, highest quality matched cells ONLY (no bars, no wires, plugs, you assemble yourself) We could maybe also get some battery bars with the group buy.
That price of $109.95 is retail list price on their web shop for just six (6) sub-C cells.
The more people we have interested, the more we may get discount.
I'll start:
James - 3 packs

You know you aren't actually allowed to use 3700 cells at interclub type events right? Fine at westcoast friday nights, carine sundays etc, but not at official events. They aren't "legal" under WAORMA rules yet.

Well, there will be a WAORMA meeting at the Ryper interclub, you can speak to the WAORMA delegate from your club before then, and ask them to bring it up.

Legal?
Did they pass ROAR, IFMAR and ORRCA rules?
I think WAORMA uses the ORRCA rules. So GP3700 wont be usable in a sanctioned event

I've already just bought three 1.172-1.74V harris r/c matched GP3300 packs. sorry gents. Although I'd still be after another two or three.
I'll still enquire. I dont think Harris R/c are doing 3300's AT ALL anymore... I'll find out from Scott (Mitch perhaps you could enlighten us, considering you sell gear by harris), else I might try Feral matched, or...

I've heard back from Harris R/C, they are no longer matching GP3300's at all, have none in stock, and dont plan to bring any more in... they are now only doing GP3700's.

I have not heard of anyone over east racing with 3700 at any sanctioned event maybe club meets but not at summer nats, OR Nats (which i attended) Vic off-roads, or any other major meet yet things normally filter throught to aus about 6-12 month after rules pass in US. so maybe another 6 months???

Did you guys know Ryper are bringing in Harris R/C cells to WA. I think he is putting in an order today. Give them a call anyway and see what Dave can do.
