was looking at getting a similar AE82 or AE9x hatchback but mum wanted to get rid of her car !lmao

What sort of power does the 4ag put out compared to the weight?

the 20v makes about 110hp at the wheels and the car weighs around 970kg-ish. its easy to outrun a V6 commodore/falcon/magna, but cant eat v8 or turbocharged cars.

pretty cool (4ag should be able to push abit more than that?).

I might look into getting one for a project car when I get some spare cash (and some space :P)

I just love those toyota's.

So thats where the 20V part of your name comes from.

Those 4AGE 20V engines sound so GOOD at 8000rpm!!!

Awesome Matt, I used to have one of those. You might remember it from Rollaboyz, it was a White 1987 100kw model with MYTOY4 numberplate. The best small car in the world IMO.

heh, MYTOY4 was very tidy and i looked up to it as a kind of mentor when starting out modifying my car. i still have an AFARCC "All Torque" newsletter which reviewed your car (along with the other AE82 in yuor family, were the plates TONI1 or something?)

MYTOY4 drove past me on the tonkin hwy in 1997 and i said to my girlfriend at the time "i want my corolla to look as clean cut as that!" and she said "keep dreaming honey".

Yeah I did 12.74, and James is cutting similar times in his Pulsar!!

My girlfriend did 15.3 in her stock standard Mazda 3..

thats one nice looking corolla.

i used to love the look of the 4cyl cars when i was starting out driving they handled so much better than my old falcon :)

i still have 00 lancer coupe i bought 3 or 4 years back when i killed my suzuki sierra :)

other than a better cd player and regular servicing nothing has been done to the car since i bought it.

with the lancer being a shitbox of a car it hink the only things i would want to do to it would be purely cosmetic.

a mate still has his sti in his workshop (pride of place in the workshop, whenever we go to his place we always end up talking about it) he has WRX's and liberty's etc as long as i can remember. nice cars also.

with a family on the way i cant have such a small car (wrx is too small for me and a corolla would be out of the question.

we use the challenger atm, more legroom, but shit id love a corolla as hot as that :)

Wow, I remember the "All Torque", The other car was my sisters, then she passed it on to her husband. He then sold it last year to a freind of his. I sold MYTOY4 about 3 years ago and havn't seen it since. I have first dibs on my sisters old car when her friend wants to sell it so I might have a Rolla back in a few years. I have a Liberty at the moment, great car but nowhere near as fun as the rolla.

That's not bad for a SP23.

My Pulsar (DECVING, now sold) woulda done a high 13.

Over cars though, for now anyway. Have test driven and looking at a new SP23, with the leather pack. Currently drive a new Holden Ute, manual, fully sick mate. F*ck knows what it would do over the 1/4, and who really cares? haha.

haha

i like cars but motorbikes are the real deal for performance :)

spend $12k on a 2nd hand hyabusa and you have a 0-100 time around 3.5 seconds (or if your a wuss like me about 3 minutes) and a mad quarter mile time... and if there is anough road and you have a death wih you can find its top speed around 320+km/hr (on the older de-restricted ones anyway :P )

but for comfortm cars will always win, and there is so much more than can be done to a car, with a bike you do the engine, the drivetrain and add some nice paint or carbon fibre. car stereos are half the fun :P

Get a Turbo MR2. Silivas are just too common now. Edit. MR2 will not be good for drifting though.

yea but i dont really wanna drift cause i lost my licence once and it was shit so i dont really wanna get into the habbit of it
