Isn't it just a plastic tube body shell ? to look like a expensive or DIY setup from RC4wd and the like ?

Yup,

ProLine Tuber (http://prolineracing.com/bodies/tuber-bolt-on-cage-system/)

"Unbelievable realism, injection molded high strength nylon..."

BUT, Highlucks has a G-Made R1 which is of the same material, its as tough as nails.

yeah, i'm just thinking, i want something that looks different to a stock ax10, but is still simple like an ax10.
and cheap. its 1/10 the price of a real tuber. plus on friday you get all the bonus crap for the same price as just the tuber bit is normally

thats the other thing i'm wondering, given this is basically a body and the chassis and everything else is still stock ax10, would it still be classed as a sportsman.

Get a SCX10 chassis and convert it to a scaler.

Obz will have to go Arnie,

"its not a tuber", its a sportsman...

Mate, You'll need to check the rules or with Cam, he's the fullest bottle...

yeah, saw cam last night. he said ask on canz so i'm waiting for a reply there.
rules say sportsman needs a lexan body, and true tubers are pro, but since this is a clip on thing like a body plus you can put lexan panels on it i'd say they may need to make ruling on it.
either way i'm going to get one. :p

Cam ran his R1 with the TokiDoki panels at Red Hill, shouldn't be an issue.
You'd be (technically) disadvantaging yourself with the additional mass of the cage. I won't be challenging it if you run in Sportsman, gives the CR01 half a chance of beating someone.

Yep you can run it. besides there is nothing official about this little series.

Next year may be a different story though, I am by no means certain but i think bodiless Chassis like. The UGC Fast Back and the JonesN' Frogger will be allowed to compete.

Will we see it on Sunday?
Those tires look like they might hit, optical illusion?
Also I see you decided to fit some springs. That should help.:D

obzELiTe
03-12-2010, 05:41 PM
yeah, tires could be an issue. the standard ones are close, these are huge compared to them.

chucked some soft losi springs on that came with the losi shocks. has a better stance now.

sunday...hmm still negotiating terms of release. got a wedding saturday and a home open sunday.

Got my new sportsman finished today, then had to rebuild my pro trans after snapping outdrives again.
Reshocked the CR01 - I am ready.
