The bombshell and 1/18th
Good news for the 1/18th mini T guys , carine club have decided not to hold back the furture any more and bring the 1/18th guys upto the premier truck event , at this stage i dont think the guys that race these little bothers are upset if you have a losi mini t 2wd or a associated 4wd you can all run for the main 1/18th premier class , theres just two new rules to remember for the two main events .
you can run any, 1/18th truck with a truck body in the new premier class and will be a open motor class ,
and the two premier classes ie , 1/10 stadium truck + 1/18th trucks must compete in all 5 races to be elegible for trophies ect.
any feed back welcome

if they are anything like the ryper tripples, i dont see there being a problem :) if there's enough run-up, anything's possible. landing it, unlikely. !fart

Track is looking great, here is the email I just sent to the members -
Went down to the track during lunch today. I must say its looking sweet.
I can now walk around all of the track without sinking!
Some of the top soil has washed off but I think we all knew it would happen.
Some of the rocks are exposed - But its offroad! It will be a high grip bumpy track.
Bumpy would be good, all the other tracks are like an onroad surface,
at least you would have to think about your line and setup at Carine!
I still haven't had time to complete the jumps.
They are wet through at the moment and are plyable enough to shape.
I hope to have some time on Saturday morning to get them done.
My brother is loaning me a finishing trowl so should be groovy.
Hope to see you all at the next Interclub (Rypers)
BB
I am looking forward to the Bomb/Bullet Shell! !silly
ive heard a rumour that at the bombshell classic the buggys will have a run or two throughout the day? is this right, should buggy owners bring their gear when them on the day??

Matto, the programme includes a support programme of equal amount of runs for the 1/10th open Bombshell trophy(Trucks)AND 1/10TH Buggies, with the inclusion of the 1/18th (Truck) BulletShell trophy this year, hope that helps mate.

Hi Rob, mate this decission was mad by the Carine members, the only time emaxx run at Carine is at Interclubs, due to the State body rules for Interclubs, sorry mate but them's the member rules NOT just MINE, the Carine club members are the committee and they decided quite some time ago to choose this direction,Yes we do have members with emaxx's as well but they understand why the chioce was made I suppose otherwise the club would still be debating the motion. :)

26-06-2005, 01:12 PM
boo, bring on the emaxx's... !
mitchremotes
26-06-2005, 02:20 PM
All the booing in the world James will not make one bit of difference, just bring down your Buggy and 1/18th truck and have as much fun as the others that do the same, really looking forward to seeing a lot of the 1/18th guys there and continue to build the class for future events at Carine

Why did the club members decide not to run MT ?! ?! ?! ?! ?!
mitchremotes
27-06-2005, 01:31 PM
The track surface I believe, really guys if the club don't want to run the emaxx class it's their call wouldn't you say, also I think there needs tobe a bit more reading done in future before we start posting the same old same old end
James
27-06-2005, 01:51 PM
bogus. but hey, majority rules...
MT owners should just rock up, and a show-of-hands vote can be done ON the DAY to decide of the e-maxx ppl can run or not. :) now that is fair... hehe
opAsx
27-06-2005, 01:53 PM
or better yet... just all race at whiteman park :P

27-06-2005, 02:14 PM
Fair call, i understand that its up to each indervidual track to decide as to weather what class's they opt to run with.
As you are aware CARINE Track has supported the MT class in the past & it just seems a little stange not to be hosting the MT's as they will be running @ the Carine Interclub & the states.
It would have been a little more diplamatic if the carine members had approched the MT drivers @ the time of there desision and let us know what was going on ,rather than assuming we were running as we have done in the years gone past.
Will carine be banning MT drivers from your normal sunday race meets & if so is carines desition based upon track presivation or is there some other underlying reason ??PLEASE EXPLAIN :)
btw: I know my spelling sucks

maxxed out, you hit the nailon the head when you said it was for track preservation, this has been known for quite some time since the new surface was put down.
Thankyou james for your very S A comment, this sort of humour is a bit RS to say the least, now back to the sensible part of keeping a track and club going in the right direction, the Carine club really do look forward to having a mass turn out for the Bombshell classic and those who don't or can't run maybe next year.

hehe last time i went there were 4 sections where i could have raced a boat, and it was still heaps of fun... thats where i drowned the traveller :P
even for a track in really bad shape at the time it was heaps and heaps of fun :)

we never get enough to run a class at club meetings to start with and no 1/10 drivers want to drive with a E-MAXX in the same race
Hey maxxed out, you're gonna have to practice more and more with your new bj4 now that emaxxes are a no go. What a bummer cos I was hoping the stan won't come along due to soccer commitments so I could race with you guys. Had a killer time racing the maxxes.
Up on1, I failed to mention your name in my acception speech at Rypers to say "thanks" for lending me your truck body, otherwise I wouldn't have raced and received a medal. I was so overwhelmed by fluking a medal that I completely forgot. So cheers

OK.Track Pesivation,
Are you able to answer part 2 of my question is carine banning E Maxx's from there normal sunday race meets ??
mitchremotes
28-06-2005, 10:59 PM
It has never been a class in the first place that runs at Carine Darren, so I don't see that the terminoligy ban is applicable in the first place. end

28-06-2005, 11:08 PM
Being that aleast one of your members has an e maxx this is obviosly an attraction for other maxx drivers from witch ever club they race to come to carine & compeat more fgrequtley.
But if Carine opts not to run the class this may adversley effect the memberships at carine dont u think ??
END END !!

Carine doesn't have any members with Track Wreckers(quoting BB), darren, I think this thread has worn it's self out it's not worth the energy of too and fro as far as I can see, the members made the decision, so lets leave it at that.

just seems funny that a state title class cannot practice at the track where the states are bieng held. What next ban 4wd open?????????
James
29-06-2005, 09:54 AM
it's pretty clear that another vote or show of hands needs to be done for carine... times change...
just a suggestion gents: perhaps the Carine members can discuss it in the Carine members forum here, and not fill the general public forums with issues that are only specific to a certain group of people.
another suggestion: maybe we move this thread to the carine members forum?
gents?

Out of curiousity, when did this members vote to ban emaxx's take place? I know of at least 1 carine member who says this is the first he's heard of it.

Just a very short message to all who participate in this site, the discussion in regards to the Bombshell classic has gotten to a stage of nonsense and making no sense at all, if you wish to compete at the Classic this year do so and enjoy if you don't your chioce, only the required nomination info will be acknoledged from now on as it's gotten a bit tired the whole issue.
Reagrds.
