Can anyone tell me the bolt spacing on a standard 1:8th motor?

Or fwd me to some specs of a typical 1:8 motor?

thanks!

I race both EP and GP 1/8th Buggy/truggy, but I dont really understand what you're after.
If it's the mounting for a 1/8 brushless then directly opposite each other for most motor mounts, and when you mount it put the top bolt further towards centre of car, simply because it means the bottom bolt, which is generally very hard to get to, is closer to the outside and therefore easier.
What I find is with most 1/8ths it's easier to undo the 4 centre diff mount bolts and take the whole lot out.
It is much easier to set the mesh correctly and you can tighten the motor bolts properly.

Hi Dags, thanks for your reply, sorry I wasn't very clear!
Basically I am after the distance between the bolt holes on the 1:8th motor itself.
The largest possible distance of the holes, so kind of like the diameter of the circle that the holes are drilled on the back of the motor for mounting.

I don't think it's the same as a 1:10th motor, which is 25.2 mm, or 1 inch in the old money...

Its not for a 1:8th car, but for a jet unit, and the hole spacing on the mount is (I don't have it here) I think 29mm.. so wondering if a 1:8th motor will fit..

Why can't you take the end bell off and re-drill new holes

I think these may? I know the spacing is larger than 1 inch

thanks for the input guys.. I've ended up purchasing a 25mm adapter plate... which will open up my motor choice massively :)
