Was walking the dog near the old rockingham offroad rc track recently, and saw a few guys in the carpark there running a few onroaders around. They'd painted out a track, but seemed to just be a handful of guys bashing.
Today I saw a shipping container there, with stairs attached to the side to be used as a rostrum.
Anyone know anything about this?
A container rostrum implies more than casual bashing!
This I believe is a part of the M.O.R.E. club.
It seems odd I know but thats what I've been told.

I wish I'd thought of it but I've been busy trying to get the off road track happening. Be keen for onroad in Rockingham though.
Incidentally, the Mandurah council are going to build us a track on open community space until we get organized into a bigger club. Not exactly what I'd hoped for but at least we'll be able to get some regular race meets happening down this way

Well I stand corrected. lol
I was told you had arranged with the Rocko council for onroad at the old courts 2 weeks before they were painted up.
Guess my sources are out aye?

I know when i saw it last, they had a couple of tourers, and at least 1 F1 running around.

Yeah, I remember coming down to watch the States at Rocky in '99, I think. Really liked the track, wanted to race on it, never did. Same as the one in Malaga, that closed just as I got back into the hobby racing at Carine.

The ones i saw yeah. Though i noticed on the weekend that the driveway had been chained up. Maybe they're not meant to be there?

Looks like they have a clue about layout aswell.. drivers stand in near the tech stuff and its got a nice long back straight.
