Hi all.
This is my first post on this forum but have been reading for a while now.
I have just recently started getting back into RC while studying my final year at Uni.
I own two 'Vintage' cars, a Tamiya Stadium Thunder and Marui Galaxy RS. Does anyone know anything about the brand "Marui"? I have done a little research and they were originally a Japanese company making guns. In the 80's they tried their hand in making RC cars and tanks.
My Marui Galaxy is dated 1985 according to the users manual.
Thanks for any Help.

Yeah i had a few Marui cars and one of them was the Galaxy .
It wasnt long i sold it for FA as it needed some TLC and then after i sold it , 2 days later i see the bloke that bought it put it on ebay and sold it for 5 times more than i sold it to him for :(
Not sure of their history though lol

I will post up photos as soon as I can but unfortunatly the car is back in Perth and I am living in Kalgoorlie for just over two weeks.
The car isnt completly running atm. The manual speed controller needs fixing but i have a NOS Tamiya Speed Controller I got with the car to fit. But retro fitting it would probably be beyond my skills.
The servo's still work fine and the only missing part I could identify is the cage around the car.
In looking on Ebay in the US, these cars are selling for $400+ and $600+ for NOS in box.
Did these sell in shops in Australia?

Does anyone know somebody who would be interested in this car? Or where I could find someone? I dont think I would ever get around to fixing it and would rather someone have it who would really appriciate it.
May just end up on Gumtree soon anyway.
