Hi guys im currently in the process of building up a Honcho scaler and i was wonder what lipos other people are runnning in regards to mAh and run times.

Im using a CCSidewinder esc with CCBEC fitted, and a brushed Tekin 35T motor, I been reading that 3S is the go.

I was looking at something like This (http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/product/246/Thunder-Power-1350mAh-3-Cell3S-111V-ProLite-G6.aspx)??...

Perfect, not too big as to be heavy but will provide plenty of run time. I run the same but from a different supplier in my XR10 with dual 35T motors and get around 40-50minutes of run time. So I think you could hope for around an hour of hard driving.

+1, 2 actually. :D

Both T.O.M and I are using the same pack as the above, a 10 gate course uses less than 300mAh usually. I haven't had to top the pack off on a days comp yet.

Cheap too.....

BTW sounds like your building a pretty competent truck. Hopefully you'll have it finished by Sunday. EIther cam or I would have some sort of battery pack you could use if yours doesn't arrive....

PS these packs are in the Aust warehouse fro $11.99....NSW...

Those hobbyking ones are cheap as hey, ill probably grab a couple at that price..

As for having it finished for the weekend, sorry wont be finished still waiting on a few option parts etc to turn up, I figured id take my time and put a few extra bits and pieces on it, save pulling it apart to much later..

Also id like to run it few times and get the hang of it before i go i a comp, should be all good for next month..

As a wise man once said "Volt Up Gear Down"

So run as much voltage as your speedy will let you or you can afford and dont forget to get a CC BEC, the Sidewinder supply nearly enough current for even the cheapest of servos.
