i ALWAYS use after run oil.
the hobby shop in willetton had none last time i went in there and the guy behind the counter said "use auto transmission fluid" as its apparently as good as after run oil
the best bit is top shelf auto transmission fluid was only $23 at supercheap for 1 litre... so it will last me ages... especially as im getting rid of the nitros :P
Apparently WD40 has trace of H2O in it. So spraying that inside your engine can't be good for it. I've always used after run oil, only because it's there for a purpose so I'll use it. If you decide to use ARO, don't put too much in otherwise you'l experience slipping of the oneway.

$2 Castrol Handy Oil from Wollies = teh winnah!
Basically you want something to "displace" the fuel left in the chamber. Put a few drops in the carby and turn the piston over a few times.
Good for long time storage too

Use some sort of after run oil, whether it be proper stuff, or ATF, if your not going to use your car for 2 weeks or more.
If you use your car weekly, or any less than that, then just cranking the engine over until its run out of fuel completely is sufficient.
