after looking at harris rc's shop and wanting some batteries for the emaxx and other electrics (in need of a fair freaking few myself) i have seen the bulk lot of 200 cells they have on offer.
"The Harris R/C Intellect MEGA BOX
ON SALE!
Price: $660.00
200 unmatched IB3600 cells, in a factory-dealed box. Enough to make over 30 6-cell packs suitable for practice or novice racing. Shrink wrapped. Unassembled."
60 of these would suit me fine.
would anyone else like to put thier hands up to buy some of the remainder?
it will be based on each cell costing $3.30 + postage.
if i can get a few pple to put thier hands up i will get them. if not i will only buy what i need from there.
so let me know i will be ordering batteries wednesday.
cheers
!yikes

Last i spoke to Harris R/C I'm sure he said he'd do the same pack for $500... or $550...
want me to re-enquire? I'm down for 24 to 30 cells. (to make four or five packs)...
I want some other stuff from harris r/c too, so would be a good time to save on postage... (need a stock motor, and some oils, etc)
So 60 cells for opAsx, 30 for me.
leaves 110 cells for others to purchase...
for more info on the cells see http://www.harrisrc.com/shop.htm

found the email from Harris R/C, my mistake it's not $500, it's still the $660. which is still cheap.
the $500 was from this:
"9 packs of 1.165+ packs are usually $585, but can do them for $500."
that was when I was enquiring about GP3300's. so ignore.
Price is $660, or only $3.30 per cell!! meaning $20 per 6-cell pack (not inc bars/wires/shrink)
cost to make an actual six cell pack with these cells would be:
$19.80 for six IB3600 cells
$6.95 for wiring + deans connector
$6.65 for the deans battery bars (7 of, 2 are for the soldering tabs)
total = $33.40 per made-up cell pack (make your own)
Maybe BB would assemble a pack for you for a small fee of somesort? hahaha !devil

damn thats some good pricing :)
im definately up for 10 packs so the 60 cells and also some decent wire, battery bars and soem deans plugs (want to convert my cars to all deans not just deans/tamiya/bullet plugs etc)
as your closer geographically to most people int he forums i will send my share of the dollars to you James if you want to be the despatch centre :P
i dont see many people driving to me to pick up some batteries :P
or i could always make myself available for people to pick up their gear from west leederville or whatever.
yay batteries :)

doh!
remote bandit, you might be better to order some yourself. the postage part for me to you wont make them all that worthwhile over you buying direct from harris rc

whats going on with all this? did you make an order with Harris R/C? did you include the things I listed (stock motor and accessories, etc?)
I know Matto also wants some stuff from harris r/c...
do we need to create a harris r/c thread?
perhaps mitchremotes can get us the stuff we want, cheaper than from Harris R/C... (he gets it from harris r/c, but could maybe do us cheaper than harris prices, if that makes sense?)

all i ordered was batteries.
lots and lots and lots of batteries.
im going to need them with another emaxx on the way.
I am holding some aside for remote bandit and may have 3 or 4 packs spare after i have sorted mine out.
I was going to order all your gear James, but will work out much cheaper for you to get it delivered to you, otherwise it comes from harris, then to wagin then back to you.
logistically its a PITA for everyone i guess.
i was only after some budget cells to get me started and just bought the last 120 of the 3600 cheap cells he had and a pile of deans plugs, wire and battery bars.
i think you might need to create another harris rc thread :P
im not much use as a depot out her ein the country :D
