Hey everyone,
For those who are thinking of ordering stuff from Bishop Power Products, be careful.
I ordered a pair of Mambas from them originally, and they took 4 weeks. I then sent my Mamba back under warranty and it took them another 7 weeks to get it back to me.
They have assured me that their shipping methods have changed and they now have super fast international shipping.
Well, I ordered a Kokam LiPo from them and its been 5 weeks. 2 weeks ago, they told me that my packages keep getting returned, so I gave them an alternative address and they said they'd ship it 3 day priority UPS at their cost, which was good of them.
I'm still waiting.
Well priced, but their shipping is slower than opAsx's RC18T!! !amazed

rofl... he only says that as the mini-t's have died a dishonourable death :P
i could disable 3 of the wheels and still beat his mini-t :P
and yes BPP is the slowest of places to get anything for. id almost pay the 200% markup and buy local...

Mini-T dead? NEVER!!
In fact, some people on one18th.com say the Mini-T is more challenging, and more fun to drive...and when driven by the right person, they are, shock horror, quicker than the RC18T!
Oh, and this is coming from people who own BOTH a Mini-T and an RC18T!
Not to start an RC18T vs Mini-T war, but how u like them apples?? :D

i own both and would much rather use my mini-t as the "do you think i can jump the river?" toy.
even in its hopped up state i dislike it immensly.
it has now become "mr expendible" in my toy collection.
the rc18t seems to just feel right for me. it handles much better (in my uncapable hands) and gets the power down much more efficiently.
i have been mainly running the rc18t on the road and i have adjusted the suspension accordingly (the chassis sits maybe 4mm off the ground) and its amazing.
i set the mini-t up similar and i still roll/bounce/flip when trying to do the same high speed stupidity.
the rc18t took one massive pile drive into the kerb yesterday (i wasnt paying too much attention) and it slammed at almost full speed into the kerb head on (fresh 11.1V lipo, 18t pinion, mamba 8000) and all that i broke was the servo horn.
replaced the servo horn and off it went.
i think the mini-t would have bent etc with all the aluminium in it (not the cars fault)
you need to remember, i have been into rc cars for coming up to 3 months. i havnt raced, i havnt built up the respect for using skill to cover a cars shortcomings.
from a nubs point of view, the rc18t is so much easier to use. perfect for me :)
and to stay on topic... BPP is slow !silly

Well my Mini-T throws metre long roosts in the sand with the paddles, and yes I got front razor tyres on it...cant use them on an RC18T ;)
Thats all I care about :D
Oh, and with the slipper set perfectly, it doesnt wheelstand in the dirt at all, it just takes off like a cat with a rocket up its arse :P
...AND YES, BPP is super duper slow :P

Looks like you get a lot of bad luck Joe. I've ordered a few times and had parcels arrive within 10 working days (which is fine for free shipping).
I brought an ICE like yours and it arrived the same week!

Yeah I've had way too much bad luck with BPP...I will not be buying from them again!
I even had to pay return shipping on the Mamba in for warranty, and it took 7 weeks!!

Good news..
I got an email from BPP...he has been helpful after all of this.
BOTH my packages got returned...I'm beginning to think that Customs dont like LiPo packs, and they keep bouncing em back to him.
He has shipped it with TRACKING this time, at his expense...so we'll see how it goes this time ;)
At the moment its in Arizona, but we'll see how far it gets in the next few days.

I thought lipos were liquid batts, hence the illegal shipping. I guess it depends on who checks your mail. Good news, I got my 2 mamba systems, took 10 working days. Just happy it got here, after hearing you peoples horrro stories.

SO I looked at the cells, which are silver and wrapped in a heavy duty black rubber casing....they sure as hell dont look like Kokams!
So I emailed BPP.
Turns out that he has upgraded me to the newly improved 1500mah Polyquest LiPos, which are a new design, and specially built to fit in the Mini-T chassis...and are worth more than the Kokams, and are reported to be a lot punchier too!
WHAT A SCORE!!!

Thats cool, you know how I snapped my mamba shaft well I contacted them and they will be sending me a replacement for free, (under warrenty) I still need to send the motor back to them, but Troy said I could just take a photo of it so they can send me the replacement before they recieve my motor. Hopefully this motor doesnt take to long to get here. Has anyone heard anything about the Hacker E30-13L (4200kV) micro brushless motor? I want to get one to test it against the mamba 6800kV. The guys at Hackerbrushless are getting me a quote for shipping as they don't usually ship outside of NA.
