hey guys I am really thinkin about getting into racing, but I have no where to race my 18T so I am considering getting a cheapish 2wd buggy to race at my local track (5minutes away!) They race electric mainly so I would be looking at a RTR or something, don't want to spend that much initially as I am not sure if I will be able to race very seriously at this stage. What do you experienced guys have to tell me? Here is what their race regulations are http://www.chrcorcc.com/racingdetails.asp

castle hill is for more for the pro drivers. they have a very novice class which might make you feel left out if youre starting out. its a bit of a way out from anywhere unless you live in Kellyville <smirk>

i found two tracks a bit closer was St Ives at the St Ives showgrounds and Sydney RC in Ryde - both have a populated novice class. The boys at Sydney RC were keen to take on a new driver, and assist to with my first race meet.

Sydney RC races every weekend, St Ives races 2nd and 4th sunday of each month

st ives web site is http://www.zip.com.au/~dazb/stivesrc.html
sydney RC website is http://www.sydneyrc.com

this is a pic from a sydney rc track

ok thanks for that, I might head over to the Castle Hill track as it really is just down the road from me. I'll see what it is like, I have been to a TC race night and that was pretty serious.
