I stripped the thread in the end of the pipe that secures to the chassis clip

I took the advice of James ?(or someone else) and tried zip tying it on.
This didn't work too well and 5 min on the road promptly took the tie off

I use a zip tie on my Savage, and it works a treat..
Make sure you put the zip tie over the rod that holds the pipe on, not near the silicon coupling.
Alternatively, you can get yourself one of those collars that go over the top of the rod and are secured with a grub screw....they work good for this purpose too :)

ok, sweet.
There isn't a nice place to use a zip tie. I'll look into those collar things

Maybe you could drill a hole or 2 in your chassis, and fill them with zip ties. hehe That's how the exhaust on the monster pirate I have is secured, I think you saw the pic?

yeah, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to drill into my baby.

or try a bit of coathanger, cut to size and twist-tied with some pliers.
