Hey I'm new to this and just bought myself a Losi LST to bash and Race. I'm out in Ellenbrook and I'm keen to meet anyone in the area for a bit of Bashing or get down to Whiteman to test that track out. Whats the go with using that do you have to be member?
Yeah ppl use the track at times. It's a real sludge pool right now so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone to use it. Nitro, if you got nothing to do this sunday morning, come down to Mussel pool where they'll be a fair few MT's and buggies racing. Charge your batteries and bring extra fuel and join the community. It'll be fun

What time do you reckon it will kick off Dlux? I'm already waiting on a new CV seems me other fell of whilst thrashing it over the road in the bush but I will call down and have a look.
Nominations around 9.30am I think. Racing should start around 10ish we hope. Still have to set up the track early. Hope to see you there with or with out the LST. Have a look at what goes on, ask questions and everything. Everyones usually very helpful. But at the end of the day................you wanna get your rc on the track for some carnage.

yeah thats it i look forward to trying the racing out I'm new and still learning how to thrash it properly she is just run in and been a bit of a learning curve. :)
......and we've all been there. Just be sure not to go to the track. We're gonna be at Mussel pool which is with in the national park. Just follow the signs
I rocked up on the 17th and did like 3 laps around mussel pool and couldn't see anyone :(
Did this go ahead and did anyone rock up with their mt and find the place :(

I was going to go but they said on here that it has been cancelled...Not really that keen on Grass racing but I would love to try my hand at their track out there in Whiteman. If you ever want to hook up and have a run and share some learning curves with a fellow LST owner give us a yell..I am out in Ellenbrook not far away from the track.
If you've never raced before, you won't know how it feels. Due to the winter period and the lack of racing around, and I say this with confidence that ALL who race, want to race when ever they can. Whether it be on grass or not. Just ask the moderators James and Matto. Those boys are itching to the point of going on a TUESDAY NIGHT for a hack at Rypers. I've been jumping from on-road nitro to on grass nitro buggies and soon the Bombshell (weather permitting) just to race what ever during winter. When and if you start racing and enjoy it, I'll bet you won't be saying "not keen on grass racing" during winter :p. I'm not having a go at you at all if it seems that way, but I'm actually trying to encourage you and the noobs into this hobby by coming and joining in the experience. Hopefully you'll love it like some of the die hards do on here.
We're starting on the drivers rostrum this Sunday up at Whiteman, hopefully have it finished in time for the first Whiteman race at the end of Sept. Will keep you all posted. Mean while I'll be all over the place to race what ever blows my hair back. ;)
well look at that.............i missed the bombshell. What a doofus

nah thats cool man I don't take it like that hey...
I am probablay saying that cos all I run on at the moment is the bloody grass oval at my front door all by myself and it gets boring. Then I hit some dirt and have a ball. But I supose racing would be a different story hey. Let me know when you are racing next and I will turn up as long as Nitro monster trucks are running cos thats all I have.
A mate of mine is the Vice Pres at Radio Rally but they don't race trucks just stadiums......keep me posted!
Thats strange cos I was down there this Sunday and was speaking to I think Dale Summers mum as well as BB speaking to another organiser and they said bring um down. Mrs Summers (I presume) said so long as it's either 1/10th or 1/8th, we can run it. Can you enquire for me with your mate to clarify this as he is the VP. Me and another guy that were speaking with the lady were going to bring ours down in two weeks time. I'm sure there will be a few keen MT willing to give it ago. They surely wouldn't knock back interested parties.

Nah I don't reckon they will knock anyone back they would welcome us with open arms if there was a few people to make a class. Will check with him tomorrow and post it on here sometime tomorrow...I only said they don't not they won't will let you know.
shweeet as bro. We should all do a mad rock up with our MTs and put on a show. Tell him to we want the BIG jump too. They didn't set it up on Sunday which was a bummer cos we can get some serious air time with it

Sounds good to me man especially the Brews!!! Except one thing..........I have never raced and I am finding it hard to onto a track in winter to have a thrash on.
we're getting less and less rain now, im keen to hear from anyone who races @ the bunbury track to tell us how the track goes after a few days of rain - does racing get cancelled frequently because of rain?
if you havent raced before, do not worry. we will start another thread with a check list for you on what to bring. its a LOAD of fun!

It's more about smashing into everyone when racing as I have never even tried to race around a track. Only had mt truck a couple of weeks and inbetween dealing with fence posts and lost cv's I have only put 8-10 tanks through it..
How many offroad tracks are there in Perth that I can try my hand at other than whiteman? I really need to get on one and give it a go!

we usually race every 2 weeks, this weekend is a fun day.
with regards to rain, if it looks fine from saturday lunch onwards there will be racing as our track has very good drainage. we can be ankle deep with water on saturday morning and practicing, if sunny, saturday afternoon. i will try n work out how to post a calender soon
the track is electric only, isnt it.

Hey Dlux here is the info you were after from Radio Rally. I won't be up for racing this weekend as I am sorting out some issues.
Hi Scott back from my holidays, if you can organise at a minimum 5 trucks you can have a race of your own ( there may be some 1/10 trucks as well) same amount of heats as the buggies, else it would be a run during the lunch break. We are racing this Sunday you all need to be at the end car park at Burswood by 9.15am to get through the gate with your car and then to help set up the track, racing will finish around 3pm. We have timing gear so if they have personal transponders bring them along, else there is usually some to hire on the day.
Cheers :)
Cheers. Yeah I won't be there this weekend either. I've got on road. But that it good to know, maybe we can organise something one sunday with the MT's on here.
Sunday just past saw our first day at removing all the rotten timber off the drivers rostrum at Whiteman. I almost had a major accident that saw me walk along the edge of the brick wall with half the rostrum's frame work on me. We couldn't push it over from where we were standing so I put it upon myself to carry/push the framework by myself. As I approached the end of the wall, the frame work started to slide down as we wanted it to but was leaning more towards my end. Without anymore brick wall to move along, the others all stood on the other side of the building with one thought in their mind, and that was I was going to get knocked off. The framework came sliding towards me with the furthest timber just grasing my forearm then onto the 2m drop to concrete floor. I slowing turned around to look at the others who were all open mouthed and speechless. I looked up, put my hands together and said, "It's not my time" No one said a word until I slowly got back to the otherside and took a DEEP DEEP breath. Wheres wally who recently just joined TA said to me, "I thought you were a goner". But fellas, I did it for love.
Hopefully we'll have our new rostrum and new track for first race end of Sept. After the days work we were disgussing the track layout and race classes and it's going to be exciting stuff. Huge drums to make jumps at shoulder height and possible sports class to be introduce for the novice racer. Saturday night races maybe the go for Whiteman next season instead of Sunday mornings. Our cool night races turn up some decent numbers and spectators in the past. We'll continue to do more work this weekend so I will keep those interested posted on our progress on the weeks leading up to the start of the season.
That is exactly what we had in mind too RC_king. It's ppl like yourself that we are trying to get into the hobby and have a go with out worrying about trying to mix with the big boys. I'm in no way fast on the track..............I just wanna have a laugh and have fun for now.
