Well, just like the rest of my bodies, i managed to miff this up too...i seriously need painting lessons....or maybe i just need to slow down and not rush so much -lol-
Anyways - i added the body holes before i painted it, and the front was off to the left, leaving half a wheel exposed and one missing -lol-
I had to make the holes bigger, and then i CA'd scrap lexan to the underneath to hold the shell to the right more so it looks a lil more even.
Even now, the yokomo chassis is too wide for this shell...which btw is a Tamiya shell made back in 1991 -lmao- But it looks fine i thinks.
Paint is all tamiya rattle cans cept the first coat which was i think an LRP can...
First coat was the LRP - i think they call it dark sapphire or something...it's clear, but has a green 'sapphire' glitter through it...shows better on my mini-t shell, but i only put on a really light coat of this anyways on the R32...
Next was a light and uneven (-lol-) coat of Translucent Red, and i thought i'd be smart and try and get some gold to show through behind it.....turned out kinda maroon in the shade, and orange-ish in the sunlight -lol-
Then i tinted the windows with just semi gloss black....pity that darkened up the red/gold sections a lil tho -lmao-
You cant REALLY notice unless ur having a good look i guess....i dunno - i'm happy -lol- Anyways - enough talking BS...here's some pics....they're all wierd sizes, so i'm just gonna leave the addy -lol-
