Hi all I think we should have a thread for the 04.I know that there are a few people with them.It would be good to throw mod/hop-up ideas around and see pics of what other people have done.Myself I have a 04 with a x speed pro 11t.I want to change alot of parts to aluminium.I only have a blue alloy tie rod at the moment.

what sort of motors fit in these little things?

180 sized motors I believe. If you tried you could prolly jam your mamba 8k in there, sure it might now look like the original, but it would be damn funny to see.

Didn't someone fit a beast into an iWaver 01 or 02 (remotebandit maybe)? If that fits, the mamba should fit the 01s and 02s (and possibly 04s) cos it's thinner.

Hmmm, I might just have to give this a shot with my 01.

I saw a pic somewhere of a IW04 with a 540 motor (out of a 1/10) in it.They had to hack away the top of the gearbox case. They didnt have a vid of it but the pic was pretty cool.

IW4 + FET upgrade + Li-Ions + X-Speed PRO = Kamakazi04 :)

that 540 motor looked sweet but it would have had a weight distro of about 10/90 ;)

Sounds good Azzachaz.Once I have got some alloy bits(shock stays + others) I might have to do the Kamakazi mod. !yikes

Here is a dodgy pic I took with my phone.

I have added some alloy bits including wheels and wheel nuts to my IW04.I also removed the shi#ty standard motor wires and replaced them with 3.3mm silicone coated cable. It is a thing of splendour and beauty.
