yes we have transport, where ever when ever.
maybe if you have a track setup down there?
we are waiting for another shipment of ABS tyres from DS,
hopefully they arrive before we race!!!
just a q....maybe u could help?
what's your race system...we currently don't have any kind of D1 system going.
[aka judges on D points] at the moment it's a time thing, or who's first kinda thing
[obviously with the car most drifting wins. w/speedway style fanging as disqual.]
it would be cool to sorta do a judge based run.
sunday is on, we can go to your place if u like,
might be a nice run down the coast. :-)

How about we meet up somewhere central, like city west car park. Otherwise I'll go north. If somewhere is organised in the next few days I can try to get a few people to meet us.

mitch we arnt scoring as yet we are waiting till rc drift becomes a bit more mainstream 1st. sounds good to me dave as long as we can set up a track there. but im guessing being a sunday it should be quiet enough for us to run there. dave u should probibly pick the spot since we havent tried any drift spots up there yet

7th of August
lemme know what u think fellas.
[belmont or other location....rockingham possibly?]
Dudes that looks awesome. I've drifted with my monster truck once and it was hair raising stuff. What are 1/10th nitro cars like for drifting?
davetripoli
25-07-2005, 08:34 PM
1st sunday of the month is great, it gives everyone time to prepare. We need to organise some good venues that are central.
BTW Dlux 1/10 nitro cars are not that good for drifting, you need the torque of electric rather than the speed of nitro.

mitchster
25-07-2005, 09:01 PM
ok we're in. i'll update the site when we get a venue.
i agree on the nitro Drifting. it depends on track layout & surface lots,
but more often than not you're setting up for [nearly]
two corners at a time, looking at the third....f.u.n.
great for electric...as dave says, its a torque thing.
...this is why i love this kind-o-slidey-shite...it's a different style of racing
which makes it very interesting, and when you link em up, it's like...w0000t!
but man, if you have a BIG oval-esque track, get nitro right frickin NOW!
and with the wheels ozD1Rc is developing, bloody perfect for nitro....c post in tech soon.
[and hey, try running gas in an underground carpark at midnite....c how long the fun lasts]
gas rules, but not for drifting fools. ;-)
..standby for some 1/4 scale sprintcars...in say..kaw 10yrs or so...
Good gawd BB. Front of my pants are getting damn tight.
sweet car, and video..... too bad the camera guy at the end keeping sniffling.... kinda annoying lol

thanks for the great couple of hours there today guys, was well worth the drive :)
i was somewhat saddened by my complete and utter lack of skill... lets just put that down to too much power, small course and no skill :) so i dont feel anywhere near as bad as i do :)
I will get a silver can motor for next weekend and get some practice in during the week at home and hopefully not slam my car into people/poles/cars/myself
mind you Matt AKA Dave (:P) gets the prize for the best accident with my car.

this was just to case the joint [B.Forum], and it was perfect for
the upcoming D meet on this sunday.
i wanted to test my camCar too, but i forgot the frickin body. 8-]
we need as many drivers as poss...........[so come along]
plus there should be spare ABS tyres [fitted on rims]
for any casual racers wanted to give it a hurl,
if i can make a bulk purchase of wheels b4 then, we have tyres a-plenty.

I will deffinatly be there next Sunday, the girlfriend wouldn't let me drift 3 weeks in a row. what do you guys think about belmont?
opAsx
01-08-2005, 01:55 PM
i really liked belmont, the above ground carpark was so smooth and still has shaded areas for you to stand under so you dont get all burnt and have heaps of glare frying your retinas.
also if it rains, you can just move down a floor into the next car park which while not as smooth as the top floor would still be smooth enough with pvc/abs.
i had slick rubber wheels on my car and still managed to get some higher speed drift happening up stairs as it was soooo smooth.
great location though, close to food and drinks etc and very easy to find.
mitch, let us know if you can get soem sexy rims like the ones i borrowed off you and i will bu some and some ABS off you (that way you can fit them and i dont get angry and throw rims around my house in a fit of rage :P )
the ABS for me was kind of wierd. the pvc would drift so much sooner being alot more slippery. which was good as i didnt need to build up speed to get the slide happening. the ABS needed a little speed for me to get sliding which was toof ast for me to control with my current lack of skills :)
cant wait for this sunday. hopefully i will be able to keep form hitting people with my car... or getting stuck on every fking barrier.
