What 's the latest on the track reno?
When do we need to schedule another busybee?
Shall I ask Tim's Mrs to help again?

The weather over the last week hasn't been our friend and the clay has been too wet too work with. We have only had very light rain over the last couple of days so I was going to head down this afternoon to see how things look. The pro Bobcat driver is ready to go but wants things to dry a little more before he starts. He doesn'y want us wasting our money and his time buy having him turn up and start work only to find him slippping around in a muddy mess and unable to do anything. John is busy this week end and I may have to juggle a few comittents but I may be able to get down for a few hours on Saturday to make a start on the clay.there is still some cement work to finnish on the retaining wall and if we get real enthused the wall could even be taken around the corner a bit.I will put up a post later this arvo if we will be doing anything tomorrow.

No work this week end guys. I have just been down and had a look, things aren't too bad down there. Another day or two of resonable weather and everything should be in pretty good shape to go. There are a few soft spots that would see the Bobcat sliding around . I had a quick dig in the new clay and its not sticking to the shovel. If the pro driver isnt ready to go on Monday or Tuesday I will grab John's Bobcat and spend Monday down there myself.

ThanK You very much for the offer. We are always gratefull for any help offered skilled or unskilled it doesn't matter it all helps.

The weather has slowed our progress over the last couple of weeks but I suppose we really shouldn't complain it really has been pretty good for this time of year. As soon as the Bobcat work is done things will move quickly and we will need a fair bit of help rolling the new track surface then marking out the new track laying the pipe and building the new jumps it will be quite an exciting phase once all this starts as our new track will be taking shape before our eyes.

Things have been progressing and this week we were able to lay around 2 thirds of the 300 or so tonnes of clay that was delivered. As we are now in the middle of winter we are very much at the mercy of the weather and need to wait for another fine spell befor more work can be done. Unfortunately with the weather being as unpredictable as it is we are not always able to give every one a lot of notice when help is needed , please bear with us when this happens. At this stage parts of the track could start to be rolled. There is still plenty of work for the bobcat and due to a mix up with the cement the last half dozen or so of the limestone blocks laid in the retaining wall need to be pulled up and relaid. Other than that the new drainage seems to be working well with most of the storm water now running off what will be the race surface and into the drains.

West Coast will be open tomorrow from 9am for any one with a few hours up their sleeves to come and assist with the renovations.
The track was inspected this afternoon and although in some sections the clay condition is not ideal for working with we have decided to have a crack at it and see what we can get done any way. So myself and John along with his Bobcat will be down there from 9am Tomorrow. Large sections of track are ready for preliminary rolling , the retaining wall is starting to look good but needs more work and there is grass that needs mowing. If any body cant make Saturday the gates will also be open Sunday for mowing and other maintenance activities on the Onroad track just let someone know if planning to attend Sunday as there may not be too many of the off roasd guys around.See other post on T/A re good news about onroad racing at West Coast and what is happening there.
